Way back like hundreds and hundreds of years ago the Maori left Rarotonga (Cook Islands) they sailed with the wind and found themselves along the shores of South America( Chile and where the Incas had settled) they migrated again and took with them many things like food (kumara, potatoe)made their way up to North America where they also settled....again they migrated making their way towards the antartic where eventually they came across NZ....from the bottom Stewart Is,South Is an North Is....

also I am very ignorant when it comes to what I believe I don't care what pakeha history says about our people I believe we where always here like Jesus walking on water or god has no creator he has always existed so why can't we believe we where always here oh that's right the pakeha managed to take that from us also No its a choice you believe what ever you want no one can change my opinion ....KiaOra

@AWESOMEMAORIatFB actually I am a Maori from New Zealand (Aotearoa) and I also think you have your understanding incorrect this comment above came off a long line of comments and ignorant derrogatory is out of the question and lets reffer to the part when say : The rest floated on a branch or home made boat was directed at a particular person and he was a PAKEHA but no saying I am against them I am a half breed after all .....

Cracks me up how the Haka has become a cringe worthy novelty and the American's can't seem to get enough of it lmao. Don't get me wrong though - seeing the Haka being done on a World stage by anybody other than the All Blacks is awesome. Aotearoa Represent :)
