Personally, I have spent a total of three days over two occasions in Thailand hospitals. The first time, it cost me 11000 baht for two days, including tests, drips, food, and treatments. The second time was one night and cost me 6000 baht. Both times, I was in a private room which cost 1500 baht a night which was included in the above fees.

There is one Utube channel that regularly check in on. This is it. You have a small niche because there is a small portion of society that identifies with your lifestyle. I enjoy the philosophical and culture content. You are a very rich man. You have found your life dream and are living it. You have realized and practice your purpose. Even with the many stresses that walk hand in hand with raising a family and finding balance and happiness in relationship you seem very content in life. This is a goal in my opinion that many many people don't even know where or how to start. Lucky man Ryan...I can identify and live a similar lifestyle. I would miss you if you stopped vlogging so thank you for what you do and PS...your honey is delicious and I make an evening tea regularly with your turmeric and ginger extract powders. Glad to hear Por is on the mend. My family is experiencing some serious health issues currently as well but a go fund me is not something I would be comfortable opening either. What annoys me is self inflicted crowd funding. By this I mean someone (usually a young person) who goes traveling and can't be arsed to get travel insurance or gets insurance but doesn't read what it covers, or doesn't cover. Then they have an accident of some sort and it appears in the local paper back home with a link to the crowd funding site. The cost for a young persons travel insurance is very little and there's no excuse not to get it!

Is begging (or e-begging) really such a bad thing, or is it just our own prejudice? No one (usually) is forcing anyone to give anything to beggars, after all. I do think it is easy for many/most of us to simply say "well, those beggars should get a job", and be done with it. But, do we really know their specific circumstances? Some people, while being physically & mentally fit, seemingly cannot keep at a steady job, for any significant length of time. This actually should not be too surprising, given how many non-beggar hard-working folks complain about their jobs, talk about quitting, switch jobs frequently, and/or look longingly forward to their retirement - to quit the daily grind, or to get off the hamster wheel. Maybe some people - aka beggars - are just unable to fit in, as another cog in the machine of society. Same applies to telling folks to start their own business - to stop taking orders from others and make their own future. Easy enough for some of us to say and for a few of us to actually accomplish - but, many, many more people will never be able to make the leap - and for many perfectly valid reasons. Perhaps it is not actually the beggars that are the real problem, but rather the over-dependency on money & owning things - a dependency which we all, together, as a society, have created, perpetuated and forced upon everyone. Would there be any beggars, if money did not exist and there were plenty of "things" for everyone, so that no one lacked whatever they needed or wanted? Sounds like communism... probably would never work, given human nature. Just throwing more crap in the air, for idle thought & speculation. Please do not take it too seriously. :) Another great topic, Ryan. Thanks for the mental stimulation, mate!

Personally I found the irony so strong when a channel created to warn people about begging, scamming Thai women, then begs for money when they get sick because they were not responsible enough to make even the smallest provisions for themselves or son. The selfishness and lack of responsibility that these thai women are all purported to display, but ironically it is somehow different when the mirror is held up to the channel.
