E Belfast Dusk Drive Orangefield Shandon Gilnahirk

Last week on the spur of the moment I did a wee Castlereagh road, dusk drive home video. I didn't expect much of a response. So I was rather surprised to find that people actually watched it. ( I has got 300+ views so far! lol )
This time we are once again driving home from Orangefield but we will return home by a different evening route.
We will go along Orangefield Avenue, turning on to Orangefiled Road/Sandhill Gardens, then on to Clara Park and then on to Sandhill Road. At the end of Sandhill road we hit the Knock Road, ( which later becomes the Knock dual carriageway). We cross over into Shandon Park and do a loop round on to the Gilnahirk road above Cherryvalley. We follow the Gilnahirk road countrybound and eventually turn right on to the Upper Braniel road and we are nearly home.
Once again son Ben is doing the filming.

Hi Tom, the first thing came to mind was the song by Brook Benton called "A rainy night in Georgia" but in your case " A rainy night in Belfast" LOL I enjoyed the night drive.... thanks

Yes Mike I know that song. I'm not fussed driving in the rain at night. My old eyes have a problem with the dazzle. The colours and reflections thrown up are pretty though.

hi Tom Enjoyed the tour there ,reminds me of home again.know them roads well.are you sure it’s called sanhill rd and not sandown rd. Ah well my Mother is now moved to a nursing home around Kensington dr .I haven’t been there with all this BS going on. Keep them wee tours coming I enjoy a good old car ride lol👍🇨🇦☘️🇬🇧

Thanks YB, You are of course right! I do get names wrong! Ooooops! We go for walks on Kensington Drive past that nursing home. I need to remember to do these car journey videos because folks seem to like them! I never even thought of doing them before! lol Yes these are strange days and all so wrong. I'm afraid they are already here Eliezer. This one was built in the first lockdown and got up and running in the second whenever every other retail business had to close. New wipers definitely needed! Ahhhhh! I hate driving in the rain! I get dazzled by a combination of rain and headlight!
