After years of pedalling and carrying bikes up mountains and riding down stuff I couldn’t walk down, this channel is part of what has inspired me to start working towards my motorbike license. I’m very excited to ride off-road without having to pedal. So to see you so excited to go the other way is just perfectly timed. Certainly looks like the skills are transferable so that gives me some confidence.

After only recently getting my Motorcycle Permit and riding my CRF 250 exclusively since I can tell you that going back onto a MTB bike is very different and still a of fun. If anything I have more confidence throwing around my small MTB bike after riding my Dual Sport. All the best with getting your Motorcycle license.

Somewhere back in the early 80's I was impressed when Stephen Gall rode a road bicycle back to Sydney from Tivoli, Ipswich the Mr Moto Cross round enough to get back into cycling ... MTBiking arrived not long after and wow what an exsplosion or people and technology...Food is good :)

I come to ARiemann for the moto, but every two-wheeler should take a summer and ride, and I mean pedal, the Divide mountain bike route in North America. No greater two-wheeled experience in the world. Life altering. Beautiful every day. Remote. Very physically challenging, but not technical, unless you count the weight pushing you around downwards and resisting every inch upwards. I've done it twice by mountain bike and I'm doing it again by moto (800-year-old knee) to "widen" the exploration. I feel like I've cheated the experience side of life, especially with any motor besides myself now attached to an uphill lol Create the time and opportunity for extended travel and go. Create your own pilgrimage. You will never regret it

Great addition to your channel. I didn't realise Yamy were making e-bikes, the price looks reasonable based on the performance. Until I rode my brother in law's ebike (Specialized) I couldn't get my head around the purpose of an electric mountain bike. Needless to say, I was sold on the idea however the purchase has to wait due to prioritising the upgrade of my Yz250 MY2000 to a GasGas 300 (I'm approaching 50 and the YZ was too much effort these days). With that said, I suspect you could present and produce a knitting show and somehow you'd still make it entertaining. Many thanks Adam & Ben! ps. Please don't start knitting.

I've looked at e-bikes but just can't. When I want to give these emaciated old pins some work I just don't want assistance. To me that just defeats the purpose. I might make myself a bicycle trailer over the break so I can tow one of my kayaks. Would love to get myself to Nelson (450km away) and back on bicycle with kayak, camping gear and food via what I believe is the highest through road in the country. Turn 60 in a couple of months and I'm just not getting any younger.

Have watched loads of your moto videos as they are top notch. Surprised on the emtb content. I think it's great. The emtb takes the larger part of most mtb rides that just about everyone hates, the climb, and makes it fun. Now the climb which are normally 2/3 or 3/4 part of the ride becomes a fun, searching out tech climbs to push the limits make the whole ride fun and not just the DH portion. Have fun with it. Expect to see more content on this now that you have your first taste.

E-mtb’s are definitely blurring the lines between motos & “pushies” as you lot call ‘em. That Yamaha have ventured in is case in point. I remain true to my analog roots when it comes to pedals & have yet to embrace the battery revolution. Bloody things can cost as much as a good moto Such dinosaurs are now getting referred to as “the Amish” by my e-bike converted friends.
@lessmore44410 ай бұрын
@@benm468 ya fair enough & agreed, if I’m dropping that much coin it better have a twist grip & make a lot more noise. E-bikes seem too ripe for planned obsolescence & techno outdated upselling too. Not to mention, at least one friend had his burn down their house while charging. I’ll be staying Amish for the foreseeable future.
