Lots of stops is about the journey, not the destination right? 😂 Glad you enjoyed the video and enjoy your own bike as well

Can I offer some unsolicited advice? Set the seat to the height that is just below your hip, then you wouldn’t ruin your knees in later life ! Excellent foray into mountain biking though, it’s not all that bad
@MispronouncedAdventures3 ай бұрын
I don’t have issues with unsolicited advice when they are helpful! I did forget to adjust seat height when I left the van and move its later on. I sort of had it were my heels were of the ground, similar height as to you meant?

@@MispronouncedAdventures yea it’s a bit of a trade off and depends on the geometry of the bike itself. But so long as you feel like you can safely put your feet down then that’s about right. Also, probably not as good for your phone security, but standing up on bumpy descents with the pedals level at the 3/9pm level on a clock face gives better overall stability. There is a whole world of further unsolicited advise about how much air you need in your shocks, suspension sag etc etc etc. but we will be here all day!

I really enjoyed that, I got an eBike last November with the intention of doing some longer rides at weekends. Mostly I start from home, but I have got a bike hitch for my car so I could drive further out of town before starting a loop.

Thanks for the video as always! Quick question, am I correct in thinking aslong as this stays restricted it's legal to use on UK roads?
@MispronouncedAdventures3 ай бұрын
As long as you use it in the restricted mode and don’t have a throttle on the handlebars and it’s the UK legal for the roads

@@MispronouncedAdventures perfect thanks for clarifying! It'll be my first ebiycle so super excited

Red lever on shock controls rebound speed, blue dial controls compression or a lock out function. The valve is to set the spring rate via air

On the melting roads thing, it’s not uncommon to see gritters on the roads mid summer here in the Dales. They spread granite dust (I think it’s granite) to help with traction in extreme heat.

I didn’t realise that but that makes sense!

Hey everyone, I’m 70 and don’t have the energy to peddle, are there E bikes that don’t require ANY peddling ? Thanks 👍🏻
@Bert.....3 ай бұрын
Sur Ron but you'll need a motorbike licence and will be limited to road and green lanes
@ronpalmer13713 ай бұрын
@@Bert..... Thanks Bert, I do have a full motorcycle licence, but I’m really looking for something that has no more restrictions than a pushbike, i.e I want to ride any place a bicycle is allowed.
@MispronouncedAdventures3 ай бұрын
Legally you need to pedal, but when the bikes is on maximum assistance mode. ( level 5 on this bike ) most of the time there is almost no resistance on the bikes pedals

@@MispronouncedAdventures Thanks for the information, much appreciated 👍🏻

You want a mid drive motor for hills. That said I have a rear wheel hub motor and it's fine except for steep hills and off road. In full power mode you turn the pedals and it goes. Minimal effort except on hills but the difference is hills are like pedalling on the flat on a non ebike ie easy.
