Great video, thank you for taking the time. I just purchased a Storm with a 25ah battery. At 6'1" 270lbs, I am not a small guy. I have charged it once so far and have gone 30 miles total on the ODO in the past 2 weeks. I am now at 53% power remaining! The bike was set to unrestricted on day 1, but I rely on as little power as possible and only increase the assist when going up steep hills or bucking a head wind and have kept it in ECO mode. So far, I am very impressed. It handles quite well on road and in back country trails. Full agree with all of the objective points that you mentioned, range is subjected to a myriad of variables. But if get the largest battery and you limit power use, you significantly increase range. I prefer using more of my power to get deep into back country so that if I am tired after hunting/fishing/hiking etc, I can throttle out. 😂

Good honest video guys.

Thanks for the reply and being that you used the 17.5 a/h battery that was impressive, would have been much better with 21 or 24 whatever else they have as upgrade !!

I think you can get a 25 AH battery for that bike. My Quiet Kat Jeep is 14.5 AH. Bakcou is impressive. As for all the comments about Sur Ron? Don’t get caught behind locked gates with it.

Wonder if this bike would handle a trickle charge from a portable solar panel ?

Backcou actually makes a charger for it, but you pay a hefty price. Go to gearfool.com next time you need some gear if you want to support us!

Thanks for the info! I'm bidding on a mule right now & it's at $2,160 w/an 18%BP+tax & shipping,I think that's close to $3k. I'm going to use it on rocky/soft pack sand beaches & muddy estuaries solo or w/a trailer to tow my kayak but not much else just light tackle set for back bay stripers. Also to get to my duck blind w/a string of decoys or pretty well trodden trails to get to my treestand. Any thoughts on this information will be greatly appreciated. Again,thanks for doing such a great job by presenting a well shot video w/ straightforward information on the specfics of the ebike.

This was an awesome comment, Snookie! You wouldn't by chance be from NJ? LOL. Regardless, the BAKCOU Mule will have enough power and torque to suit your towing and terrain composition applications. I spent a few years at NAS Patuxent River, MD chasing similar stripers and remember the good times we had! You'll definitely want to avoid the single rear-wheel trailer, which you likely already realize. We recently had a price pivot and reduction concerning new. BAKCOU products. GIVE US A CALL at 435-263-0170 during normal business hours and we can likely set you up very well at a great price point! - Forest

So, 12 miles?
@plexuswoodworks1771 Жыл бұрын
Accidental early discharge on that last one. Is there a throttle assist when walking the bike up hill?
@gearfool Жыл бұрын
No worries. Correct, the BAKCOU eBikes include a "walk-assist" that is easily used in situations such as this. You likely realize that a 125 lbs. or more eBike (with cargo) would be difficult to push uphill. Without the walk-assist, it would be a struggle! - Forest

Damn only 12 miles ?

I’d like to see the range with NO peddling. I don’t mind the exercise, but I would prefer to skip any sweating when going in to hunt.

This is the only metric that matters. I bought a new one in july 2022, largest battery, 27ah?, saddle bags, the works. for just under 7k$ What a waste of money. Im a professional forester. I refuse to pedal. 3.5 miles up a very steep groomed hiking trail, 3.5mi coasting down, 25% battery remaining. They dont mention, the thermal limiter, that cuts the motor when under major load. Maybe if your a hunter or poacher... and need to be sneaky. I cannot give this thing away. Bought a new Yama 700 ATV last month for 2x the money of the ebike, and its 100x the vehicle
