I need 45 mph to be safe going to work. Just a couple miles here and there at 45mph would really be a help. Looks like a monstar would do the trick. Not sure yet. Or a Lyric Graffiti X

I bought a Motor Goat E-bike for the exact same reason. I don't always need to go that fast, but there are just a few areas where being able to turn up the motor is a huge safety advantage. In particular there is a 4-lane highway that I need to get across.

@JoeBManco we have no way around riding in streets here in Detroit areas. I use up a lane of traffic for like 1-2 mile stretches. I wait for cars to clear and get in behind them to the next traffic light. 45 mph and people will be much happier than like on my Ariel Rider Kepler at 33-35 mph.

@@JohnBabcock-qy1cs That makes sense why you would want a faster e-bike. I live out east of Wichita. There are many paved country roads that just by having a moped-style e-bike makes me far safer than using a road bike. We just don't have any bike infrastructure, but there are all kinds of dirt roads out here. The suspension is a big help on the dirt roads. Since getting into e-bikes, (I have four with the Goat being the fastest) it has made a big difference in my health and here lately I'm riding them almost daily. Even with the Goat bike, I pedal them and hardly ever touch the throttle.

Great video. Top speed is 36 MPH? A little disappointing to be honest. I thought this bike could reach 40 MPH.

Lots of people either round up, are lighter riders, are going slightly down hill, or all three! For some reason I always get slower top speeds than everyone else' claims 🙄
