I know the lyrics to this song are about his life and all, but it kind of speaks to me, to the point where I actually felt inclined to comment. Listen, I kind of live a grinding lifestyle, and a lot of stuff in this song actually parallels with my high-school life. No Nick Cannon, David Banner when I pow-wow. Hennesy but hold the hip, I'm bout to have a brown out. Clowns running round with the make-up on their face, to that I'm astringent, I've been this way." Almost all the lyrics speak to me personally, and honestly, in my current situation, I'd like to thank E-Dubble for this song. I know he will never read this, but I feel I should throw my words out there. This song is helping me come to terms with who I am. As an average highschooler, I've been struggling to find uniqueness in myself. I've been wanting to be in the popular clique or whatever, be a ladies man, you know, whatever a typical highschooler wants. These words really are helping me to begin to come to terms about who I am. Yeah I'm not popular. I'm not super attractive or super social. I'm kind of quiet, and I got a slightly strange sense of humor. I struggle with day to day life. I want this and that, but this song is helping me realize that I'M BETTER THEN THE PEOPLE THAT I ASPIRE TO BLEND WITH. I'm learning to be true to who I am. This song is showing me even if I'm not popular, I'm still AWESOME. I don't try to fake who I am. I think about how I can, but I don't. I may not be popular, but my crew goes hard. Literally the first two lines preach about my social life struggles. "Some days I feel unphased. Like when I'm with my friends with a cup raised." When I'm with my crew I don't need that other crap. I couldn't care less what anyone thinks. I just keep chugging on. I may still struggle with schoolwork and stuff, but "Come hump day, I go right back at it like an automatic."
