not to shit on your comment but rapping doesn’t have to just rhyme the end syllable. he does some internal rhyming to make it sound good like “set up shop, got a few drops, rose to the rock, now i got the socks” “got milk, socks made of silk”. internal rhyming is important to recognize otherwise you get idiots criticizing Lil Wayne for ending every line with the N word when in reality he’s still doing a fuck ton of rhyming.

notice in the very last line of tarantino’s verse, he raises his arms above the frame, and as he lowers them it cuts to black, much like someone closing the trunk of a car. this refers to how in every tarantino film there is a shot of the characters looking into the trunk of a car, with the camera’s position being inside the trunk. great job with all the tiny details from erb

The best ERB, my ranking of the verses: 5. Michael Bay - Fun and entertaining but nothing insane. 4. Stephen Spielberg - May have the best beat and has some really good references, the other verses just set the bar so high. 3. Quentin Tarantino - Best flow and the most fun for me, has some really good roasts and a lot of references, it is super creative too with the unclean script part. 2. Alfred Hitchcock - Amazing flow and beat (great use of SFX), a lot of references and paints a good picture for Alfred. Great rhyme scheme with the mamma-jamma part. 1. Stanley Kubrick - Represents Kubrick very well as a crazy genius, referencing a ton of movies and scenes. The 127 line is one of the best in all of ERB imo and the overall visuals are crazy.

A few years later, another actor who knew both directors tried to set up a meeting, and hitchcock said "Isn't he the boy who made the fish movie? This remains one of my favorite ERB of all time, and i quote it endlessly. Something I don't see anyone mentioning is how every single verse is insulting Michael Bay until he shows up. Spielberg called him a schlep, Hitchcock indrectly insulted him by mentioning Transformers, which Bay directed, Tarantino mentioned sellout bullshit Bay would do, and Kubrick called TMNT a waste of potential. (Bay has a producer credit for that.)

Man if I had to rank the MOST impactful movies Kubrick made in terms of permanently changing filmography it would probably be 2001 and then The Shining for all of the new camera techniques he designed & his set design which by far outdid any set before Shining. Probably still does. Ooooh, that and Hereditary, what an amazing set design that was & how they incorporated the set into the story in MULTOPLE LAYERS *just* like her miniature model making is layered and every aspect of that movie is about layers--so cool. He did actually have something to say about suspense that relates to that. If I recall one of his famous quotes is, “If there was a bomb about to explode it’s not necessarily the boom that’s scary but the anticipation of it.” I’m paraphrasing but you get the idea.

@@dontblink2564 that sounds EXACTLY like something Hitch would say. Heh, I even read that in his voice and vocal patterns, with an extra long pause before "...the anticipation." Extra points if you hear a ticking clock in the background. :)
