not to shit on your comment but rapping doesn’t have to just rhyme the end syllable. he does some internal rhyming to make it sound good like “set up shop, got a few drops, rose to the rock, now i got the socks” “got milk, socks made of silk”. internal rhyming is important to recognize otherwise you get idiots criticizing Lil Wayne for ending every line with the N word when in reality he’s still doing a fuck ton of rhyming.

I think it’s more in regards to his movies making tons of money at the box office. Spielberg has his own production studio, games, toy lines for movies, etc. He has his fingers in many pies. Basically in Micheal Bays eyes, reviews and rewards don’t mean shit, box office dollars do lol.

The best ERB, my ranking of the verses: 5. Michael Bay - Fun and entertaining but nothing insane. 4. Stephen Spielberg - May have the best beat and has some really good references, the other verses just set the bar so high. 3. Quentin Tarantino - Best flow and the most fun for me, has some really good roasts and a lot of references, it is super creative too with the unclean script part. 2. Alfred Hitchcock - Amazing flow and beat (great use of SFX), a lot of references and paints a good picture for Alfred. Great rhyme scheme with the mamma-jamma part. 1. Stanley Kubrick - Represents Kubrick very well as a crazy genius, referencing a ton of movies and scenes. The 127 line is one of the best in all of ERB imo and the overall visuals are crazy.

Man if I had to rank the MOST impactful movies Kubrick made in terms of permanently changing filmography it would probably be 2001 and then The Shining for all of the new camera techniques he designed & his set design which by far outdid any set before Shining. Probably still does. Ooooh, that and Hereditary, what an amazing set design that was & how they incorporated the set into the story in MULTOPLE LAYERS *just* like her miniature model making is layered and every aspect of that movie is about layers--so cool. @@Songittheledgebog Bit of a late response here, but if my memory serves correctly it was after Jaws was made, Spielberg tried to meet Hitchcock on the film of his last movie, and Hitchcock had him removed, not knowing who the young man on set was thinking it was a random person just hassling actors and what not. A few years later, another actor who knew both directors tried to set up a meeting, and hitchcock said "Isn't he the boy who made the fish movie? I can't meet him" turns out, Hitchcock was ashamed of his taking money to do the voiceover for the Jaws ride at Universal studios, and thought Spielberg would look down on him.

Say what you will about some of the ERB videos, I like them ofc, but this one nailed every single one of the directors in easy, key ways: -Spielberg discussing how many things he's lent his producer credit to, his being inspired by Hitchcock at the beginning of his career, even smaller references like Amblin and the full moon being an ET nod while also showing his ass. -Hitchcock's is so full of nods to his work that I could keep going on and on. But stuff like nods to Psycho's blood scene being chocolate syrup, Hitchcock Presents, The Birds, different music cues from his films, even Spielberg's line about Jimmy Stewart was a nod to Rear Window. -Tarantino had a nod to his foot obsession -Kubrick starts riding in like Danny in The Shining, keeps doing the Kubrick stare, a nod to the theory that he filmed the moon landing for the US Government, even his abuse of Shelley DuVall on the set of The Shining by forcing a take to be done 127 times between her and Jack Nicholson to the point where her crying and the bat leaving blisters were all too real. -Michael Bay being a putz who knows he makes money, his career beginning with a Got Milk ad etc.
