@@ModelAV8RChannel Adam In the Gulf War the RAF Tornado were camouflaged in ‘Desert Pink’ , Oh as were almost anything we flew in that campaign... Did you know we have a PINK Spitfire at RAF Cosford 🙂

Yet another fine installment my friend! Really liked the ultra-smooth "airshow" style presentation, and yes, this model looks fantastic, even though like you, I don't really care for the blue...much prefer the WWII olive drab camo. You nailed the landing, which is actually hard to do with this model, and Heidi did her usual stellar job on the videography! A very appropriate plane for Memorial Day here in the states. @@ModelAV8RChannelMasking was easier to do than I initially thought. Also, I replaced the mains with Robart tires, stock hubs. It requires a little modeling, mainly furring out the oem hub with tape. But it improved the handling tremendously. Touch and goes became very smooth and it helped cut down on ground looping, that might be a psychological benefit for me vs a mechanical benefit though. Great flight! I'm eager to try your CG as well!

@@sanexup1038 Man I am so blessed...Heidi has a Masters in Art Education. She knows how to do all that stuff. I bet the Robarts look great! I think the cg and maybe a softer tail wheel will solve our issues. It tracks ok on the mains, just was having an issue when the tail dropped...also the geotextile is pretty slippery.

Hi Adam Them white wing stripes really pop.... Should imagine Makes Los so much easier plus depth perception... You cut some nice shapes... It must be me but to my thinking n logic that tail wheel is back to front it looks as though the rear gear needs turning round to give a greater distance between it and the main wheels at the moment i5ts got the caricturistics of a FORK LIFT.... Really great flying! It was interesting to hear your philosophy on warbird maneuvering, and the results looked very real indeed. When I get my first warbird I’ll be coming back to this video as a maneuver guide. In the meantime, gaining experience on my Eflite RV7 and having a blast doing it!

Great job on your videos! Love the detail, scale flying, and commentary. Your not like all the rest and that is GREAT!! Thanks for what you are doing!! I had the same issue with ground looping and will try moving the weight back, and also putting a rubber tail wheel rather than that hard foam or whatever Eflite uses. Thanks again!

Really nice overview and scale flying on tge 51. Im partial to the camo as well but wasn't as averse to the blue. Invasion stripes are a must on any WWII bird and on this scheme it really pops in the air. Great stuff as always my friend.

Adam ...Nice flight and landing...I totally agree the speed and power is more then enough for right out of the box, I like most of the aspects of this 1500mm P-51, not as fast as my 1450mm FMS also on 6S. but has a great presence in the air and flies great when the CG is spot on to the Pilots particular equipment. I fly very little from grass and mostly from asphalt. The tail is very light and hinders ground steering especially in cross wind situations, so besides better placement of the 4000mah I also replaced the stock PU Foam tail wheel with a Du-Bro real rubber version. With it's extra weight it also helps plants the tail end. Not for everyone but it works for me..

Hey Tony thanks man! That is a great idea...the rubber wheels grip way better. To me man this is the plane FMS should have made in all those versions. I remember blowing up a few hubs back when we were all testing 5 and 6s...lol. Great you got something to work (aluminum back plate?)

Very nice , Not the way i would fly it but nice, ha ha, I had the smaller version and everyone at my field was really shocked at what It could do, most fly them the way you did. I said i was going to get the larger one but i never did. I sold the Small one at SEFF last year 2021. I enjoyed it while I had it. Man, what is with the sky? every video you have horrible looking skys.

Thanks Bill, appreciate the kind words. Not sure about the stall stuff you're hearing...I stalled it a few times to see how it breaks. It drops a wing, but not any worse than any other scale Warbird I've flown, and the recovery is the usual neutralize the controls and it will fly right out of it.
