Lets just say the wind and my mistake made this an INTERESTING maiden!! In retrospect I did not need flaps at all but I showed it can be done!!

Boss, I velcro tape my cockpit covers on to give the fuse a bit of strength in case of a bump! That's just for me, though. What wind speed was that? I'd guess 15-20 mph?

Well done on a risky maiden! Thats a lot of money up in that nasty weather! One thing thats holding me back buying this is i really wish it came with proper quick connectors and click in wings or the Cessner 150T system.
@FatGuyFliesRC10 ай бұрын
Yes I was disappointed with them not making factory quick connects also. And thanks!

those hatches dont seem to like you..lol overall its never a bad day when your flying a t28. the best bird I love to fly. I did a flight on my FMS version about a month ago and I have to say it was one of my best landings ever. like butter.
@FatGuyFliesRC10 ай бұрын
The t28 airframe has a tendency to be naturally stable and lends itself good control.

I think only half flaps in all that wind for landing. Then it wouldn't float so bad on short final. I have a private pilots license, and that's what I do on windy approaches.
@FatGuyFliesRC10 ай бұрын
You are right. But it ended up okay.

Two ejected battery hatches in one day…! That’s got to be a record lol

Well at least I recovered one of them!!!

Great content, enjoyed the video, now could you elaborate with more details for the clear coat you used, i.e. mfg., where purchased. Thank you.

Greg, nice job in that wind for a maiden! Does the cowl flaps doors open like the other version did when the flaps are used? I seen it before on the red and white Livery, but nobody hasn't mentioned it since on reviews.
@FatGuyFliesRC10 ай бұрын
Thanks,no the cowl flaps are not functional. That was on the v1 of the fms t28 from a few years ago.

Great job Gregg. Can I ask….. when using a 3 position switch for hi/Lo rates: high:100% expo:10% Lo:70% expo 5% what do I set the middle position to? 👍🏻🇬🇧
@r1m.dog7810 ай бұрын
You've got your numbers a little backwards 😀, but all good. With high rates, your expo will be lower generally, so you may have a setup like: High: 100%, 0-5% expo Medium: 80, 10-15% expo Low: 70%, 20-25% expo Those numbers are just a guide. Your actual setup will depend on the plane and how it's setup mechanically, and how you prefer it. Good luck.
@FatGuyFliesRC10 ай бұрын
When I first start flying a new model i set it up by the manual. Eflite called for only 2 rates 100% throws over 10% expo for high and 70%throws over 5% expo for low. On my g switch I just inhibit the middle position.
@cooltube10 ай бұрын
@@r1m.dog78 hi there, thanks for that and I see what your saying but like Greg says, the book calls for it to be the other way around 100% -10 expo and 70%-5 expo. I’m a little thrown now🤔🇬🇧
