That plane is sweet!!! I use a tiny battery checker with a low volt warning on my plane when I fly. Once the battery dips below a pre set voltage it beeps and I land. Max fun and battery life.

My "weapons" of choice are large scale sailplanes. We scale sailplane flyers always say, "Bigger flies better". This T-28 is proof of that from a powered perspective. Loved it!

Looks so real. Worked on these every day for three years in the Marines. One day a very awesome captain, who knew I was a pilot, told me to go upstairs to flight equipment and get some gear and meet him at the airplane. For two hours we shot field carrier landing practice. A most wonderful airplane with LOTS of power. We took turns. 75 down final with the stuff out. So easy to fly. That one flight gave me the boost I needed. It's tough being around airplanes without flying them. I floated on air for the rest of my time in the squadron MCAS El Toro (now a shipping center).

I have the eflite carbon z cub 2.1mtr, which I love to fly, and I have been after one of these T-28 Trojan large scale models ever since. As I am now 67 years old the bigger planes are easier for me to see in the air. Loved the scale flying of these big aircraft. I really hope the do resist these again. Great flying guys. One wheel being down a bit is not a problem with the retract. On the first circuit get yourself settled with the plane and when you're ready slow down just a bit and then close the gear. it's the wind speed that keeps a retract from closing... because of the gear cover. This always happens on mine when I forget to slow down a bit and put up the gear.

The landing gear is a common problem on this plane. Mine does exactly the same. It's to do with a lack of juice to the landing gear at full throttle. If you back off the throttle the gear works perfectly. Some people have used a separate small battery pack for the landing gear to overcome the problem, I tried a separate BEC which didn't work, probably a faulty BEC. I will try another one or maybe go with a separate battery. Apart from the landing gear, it's a really great plane. One of my favourites. Great video chaps!

You have to fly slowly to get the gear to fully close. I put it up into a stall to get them to fully close.

Hi Robert & Blaz, you’re right. I think also this is a perfect plane. Affordable for its size, great slow and fast flying, very good visible, big wingspan makes it stable in the air, fantastic looking. Can you image how beautiful this plane is with leds. Perfect flight and landing! I had to look twice to see it was a scale one! Great video. Love it.

I am so happy you got your T28! That thing is massive, OH my gosh. I have had a T28 that was a little bigger than my hand all the way up to 1.2m. All my T28's flew perfectly, They were all super fun to do spins and flips. My favorite plane for sure. Congrats guys!!!

I had the same problem with the 1.2! I discovered that if you fly high and lower the throttle to zero then you close the retracts it will works fine I think its something to do with the ESC.

Great flight gents! That is one big bird, it looks like an airshow bird buzzing by the crowd. Its pretty fast with the throttle kicked up! You guys have golpher holes all over the runway! LOL! Time for cement on your pad. lol! The servo might have hung up that one wheel. But you guys can remedy that..
