E-Flite Eratix 3D FF (Flat Foamy) Repair Tip!

My Eratix came with the hinge tape pre applied in ‘24. I see they implemented this action.

I have never needed the tape. Foam-tac is super strong and doesn't dry out. stays flexable and sticky.

One of my gripes about this airplane is the lack of color contrast between the top and bottom. Has anybody out there done a color Mod to help this problem.

Yes, I used white an black monokote trim sheets 2.5 inches or so wide, strips on underside wing, they add little weight , adhere nicely, look nice an clean, an makes it visible at a far distance which side is up or down really makes a big difference especially on cloudy day, i also thinned slightly Tamiya paint, not to much, an brightened up the dull off white to a regular bright white, an the landing gear I scrapped there crapp, ground the plastic x flat, spread some shoe goo on sides an took light weight aluminum small regular airplane landing gear, cut top of gear down the middle an turned them sideways two pieces against vertical fuselage with 2 small screws a bolts , tighten , an 1.5 lightweight foam wheels an a few lightning holes on aluminum, only adds 5 grams over stock, looks good, an can take off an land rolling on the grass, very durable an so far 50 flights an holding well, it's what hh should a done , maybe carbon fiber like this, no more broken landing gear an waste of time an money useing crappey stock set up , anyone doing this will be happy they did, I am, an I fly mine very often, replaced servos also with hitec hs 82 mental gear , there smooth an strong reliable only added a few grams wieght , now I love my eratix, an regular thin CA works great on fracture repair, don't need expensive foam safe, fixes quick an adds little wieght.

Fantastic flying airplane. Got around 240 flights on mine until it got sucked in by a very strong magnetic force imminating from a light pole. The dam light pole just popped straight on up from the ground and sucked my ERATIX right into it. Didn't even see it coming. Horrible loss. @@Mark-qy6mm

I just had an accident similar to yours happen and the whole elevator control surface snapped off, so I'll use your method for repairing it. Would any foam glue work?
