Dang, bad luck. But, hey, some glue and you are back in business. That plane is easily repairable. Understanding Wife, priceless!

I got this exact plane and I hate it…. Flies like a rock with wings.

I built the new one; same model; and I've been flying it for about a month now. The more I fly it the more I'm getting used to its characteristics. I'm having fun flying it, but I am going to re-do the elevator link this weekend to get more throw for better 3D performance, because the way the manual has the setup it doesn't cut it for 3D. Even in high rates. Its better at aerobatics. More down throw on the elevator should get me to perform the maneuvers I can do with my other planes. I hope! Good luck! Happy Flying!

It happens to everyone of us brother. That 300 is one of my favorite planes. You hit hard at almost full throttle!. I dusted a jet a couple of weeks ago. :( Hey I'll bet your new 300 will fly perfect out of the box
@LouRC7 ай бұрын
Damn sorry to hear about your jet. My new 300 is flying beautiful! I love it! I did put the 2oz up front right from the box. I have some videos of it that I’ll be putting up next week. Good luck, fun flying!

You held a knife edge, went low on the downwind, didn't increase rudder authority to hold the knife on the downwind, got last minute confused where to roll out for recovery.

That sure does sound pretty accurate! 😂

@@Cosme422 I've been flying 3D for over 15 years, by eye I can tell where the sticks are twitching when a panic occurs just by looking how the plane is being flown and maneuver orientation. lol

Did the pilot realise it was a belly-to-pilot knife edge when he applied the (wrong way) roll-out? Being a bit too far away and hedge, not sky, in the background didn't help. My wife cried when I took a chunk of wing off on a football goalpost on my first landing with my first own-design plane. We've both got good wives!

It is a good flying plane once set up right sorry about the crash adding nose weight does help one of the fliers at my field and to add weight up front to handle better good video glad the wife got you another one now you have a beater plane and a fun flyer 😊😊😊👍👍👍

All part of the hobby as we know brother. You’re wife’s a keeper for sure. I like your analytical approach too, I can relate. How do you add lead in terms of amount and what do you use? Not coins right? Thanks, happy flying 🇨🇦👍✈️

I hate to see a fellow flier crash. I've had mine for five years in the UK starting with 3700 and now 4000. At no time did I consider putting any nose weight on board. It flies beautiful 3D and F3A equally. Are you sure you had a C of G issue? I have never felt the need to put balance weight on any BNF model in the 11 years I've been flying them. On a model of that size I doubt if 2oz of nose weight is going to make much difference anyway. My lipos are pushed as far back as they'll go. I hope you got it repaired and flying again.

Low rates and this bird never ends up well. Sorry for your loss, Unlike some people I believe in remaidens and sometimes it takes a bit of tinkering to get a RC plane sweet. My rule is that if the parts required to repair a crash is more than 50% of cost of a new one I scrape the plane and buy either a different plane or another of the same plane. Only exception to my rule is my Draco 2.0m which was only slightly more than 50% because I have 250+ flights on it.

I learn my lessons from thouse fragile foamis,, they can’t take any damage!! I covered them in lightweight glass/carbon fibre,, than they became almost unbreakable!! It’s takes some time to do but it’s definitely worth it!! If you crash the frame won’t shatter in to pieces, and much easier to fix!!

Well, they're only new once. I lost one today. Not pilot error. But it was a pretty new plane. And I was expecting to get a couple of years of fun out of it.

It is foam, if you would be willing to spend required amount of time with the right type of glue you could make it flying again. I would use Titebond polyurethane glue like . But not everyone has that privilege to spend hours fixing from the scraps.
