This would look great next to my F15 BNF. Two nice jets that are easy to hand launch. Well done HorizonHobby.

received mine, with 4s 2200 its really really nose heavy. Almost to scared to fly it with the amount of elevator ill need. The ROC hobby version ran on 3s (190 GRAMS) (4S 239 AND 251 GRAMS) A 4S 1800 IS 190 Grams but flights times would suck. My F15 balances perfect on 4s tho

Maybe eventually I’ll get one and let you know on battery placement and CG but for now I honestly can’t answer yet don’t have the F-16. I have two videos on the F-15 and it’s awesome I slide the 2200 4s all the way back in the battery tray and it’s so good high alpha is even sweet on the F-15 I really think the F-16 will be magical but we will see
@NoonzAirborneRC5 жыл бұрын
@@MerryBoozerRC yup! i have the f15 as well with the battery back...update horizon got back to me and the amended the CG from 90-95mm to 75-85mm. will check at home to see if its better. On the F16 at 95mm with the battery all the way back seemed nose heavy and took a bit of up elevator..maybe it was balanced. will report back when not at work. Yes boozer i did watch you toss and boss seen it wasnt in it bc it wasnt release. f15 is my fave out of all them. mig 15 second...My Avios Mig 17 fresco shows up tomorrow.

What's the CG location. The manual says 90-95mm from thr leading Edge root, there is a Flyer in thr box that says 75-85mm. I'm confused.

Effort into this within the manual is apparent and useful. Spread the word folks. *Landing* Plan to land the aircraft into the wind when possible. Fly downwind and turn into the wind to begin the approach. During the approach and descent, keep the wings level and the aircraft pointed into the wind. The angle of attack (the angle between the aircraft’s pitch attitude and the horizon) should remain consistent and slightly nose high during the decent. With the angle of attack maintained during the descent, the speed and descent rate is mostly controlled with small throttle changes. Stay into the throttle to maintain speed and control during decent until the aircraft is ready to flare. As the airplane descends into ground effect, fully lower the throttle, pull the nose up more to bleed off airspeed (flare), and the aircraft will settle on its wheels. If landing on grass, it is best to hold full up elevator after touchdown and when taxiing to prevent the nose from digging in. Once on the ground, avoid sharp turns until the plane has slowed enough to prevent scraping the wingtips.

It is nice that you showed the slow flight with high alpha in the fully loaded configuration. I can only imagine how fun and capable this would be even in tight spaces when stripped down to the bear minimum. I'm betting a small and light weight 4S would turn this into a magic show (otherwise known as a Whiskey Tango Foxtrot show).

When airborne, climb to a comfortable altitude, retract the landing gear and then return the flaps to the level position. *More money saved for our benefit by reusing verbiage in the manual from other planes. Fine by me. Not for the beginner Pilot anyway. 😎

No tailerons, no retractable landing gear, no thankyou...
@jamesn50515 жыл бұрын
Then buy the big F-16, little 64mm EDF's can't really fit retracts or they'd be too heavy and fly badly.
