I really want to get one of these. Sadly, in the US I would need to drive 45 minutes if I don't want to call air traffic control to fly a toy (that's not even an air filed, its just the nearest place outside of the 5 mile airport/landing strip zones, I would be trespassing on some random person's property even still...). Yay, live in the middle of nowhere Texas, and it seems like 90% of the land (probably 95% of the population), cannot fly even a tiny whoop legally unless you call each time. So I haven't even flown my 1 oz Tiny whoop outside since moving here 6 months ago, its too much of a hassle (and I'm in restricted airspace, so I surely won't get approval anyways, its not worth even trying...). I wish the US had freedom back... At least I can WATCH videos of people having fun, because as of yet, that is not banned!

@wakekid20013 жыл бұрын
how did it go?
@DJHeroMasta3 жыл бұрын
@@wakekid2001 wish I had a better response but I’ve yet to purchase on yet. Apparently I’ll have to get one registered in my area first or something like that. So I stopped right there in my tracks and just went back to my R/C cars/trucks and helis. Edit: Sometime in the future though, maybe (fingers crossed) by the end of this year I may get one and do all the “paper work” and what not 😅.
@aerospacematt3 жыл бұрын
Or you can just buy one to display it!
@DJHeroMasta3 жыл бұрын
@@aerospacematt Could’ve! I’ve got my eyes fixed on FreeWing’s F-22 raptor now. Their 64mm version I believe. It’s a *lot* bigger than my little one but doesn’t require registration. And the best part....they’re only running for $150 and are actually in stock! Your reply just reminded me about getting one. I’ve dived back into VR gaming and partially abandoned my hobbies this past year 😅. But summer’s right around the corner! Time to get all my gear back up and running and go have some fun in the sun! Edit: In my current area, there’s a $5 registration fee if your craft is beyond a certain weight class. And mine (soon to be mine) isn’t. And nobody is going to trip over a $5 fee lol so even if I had to I’d do it this time. Previously they treated it as if I was trying to fly a 1:1 or 1:2 scale model 🤣.
@aerospacematt3 жыл бұрын
@@DJHeroMasta I can see why that might be a turn off. In terms of the Freewing F-22 64mm, I am also planning to get that aircraft.

Can you do a video to show what camera you used onboard, and how it was mounted?

@drum1805 Probably just taped a Runcam or Insta360 Go on the vertical stabilizer. There’s another KZbinr, Dave-It-Yourself who mounts cameras on all his planes, so if you are interested, feel free to check out his channel (it’s actually “Dave-It-Yourself Channel”)

Everything about this is great. But E-Flite, ya gotta paint the white. you have paint jobs on all your planes, an extra white wont hurt you financially. But seeing the cell stucture of the foam as a finish? Looks like the packaging it came out of.
