The E-flite F-16 Thunderbirds 70mm EDF jet is a replica of the iconic aircraft flown by the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds. Didn’t you say it’s not the best environment? I would have thought that the freezing cold air would give more bite on the turbines? Plus the overall cooling factor. Nice open space. These planes though, are fast aren’t they! Such a man toy. I loved the slow flight and the sound they make.

What battery are you flying with? Excellent flying gentlemen, you make that aircraft look great. I assumed that the aircraft looked so great solely because of the pilots (Amazing by the way), but this aircraft makes anyone look good. I have it now, mostly because of this video, and it flies great. I have not been able to achieve such high alpha because I’m using a battery above the recommended (5000mah) all the way aft, and an ounce in the tail to be within CG and flies well, just night high Alpha. What is the largest battery that I can still get high alpha with? Was this video several cuts with the lightest battery? There’s only a couple of minutes with a 2900mah. Looking for your input.

It would be pretty tough :/. However, the gear is designed to handle grass landings, so depending on your surface you may be okay.

I had an Art Tech one, and it was pathetic, good batteries, smooth runway and still wouldn't take off, so this professional javelin thrower launched it for me - perfect launch and still couldn't fly . SO i'll get this one, and like the UMX version, will fly far better - and it does!

I would put that thing in the ground if I flew it that far out and that fast. I just can't tell which way it's pointing or if it's upside down when it gets to far out. I gotta just fly foam's in real close.

just wondering if those planes are indeed STOCK planes or juiced up for the video as everyone does on demos...then you get the plane out of box flies like a brick or are underpowered

The sub fins, if I remove them, will it make a difference to the planes flight. I have to belly land my thunderbird, but those sub fins keep getting ripped out.

HH, have you all ever considered alternate decal packs? Even if it was just a partial color change, I bet a LOT of people would throw their money at you for something like an alternate color thunderbird decal for the underside. For other models you could do wing undersides, or tail color changes. Just a thought. I know you don't want to be in the decal business, but I bet you people would be more apt to buy planes that their friends already have, if they could have a way to differentiate theirs better, in a non custom looking way (ie unprofessional).

I’ve flown nitro the past 30yrs, been wanting a dependable EDF fighter jet to fly, i know nothing of electrics, what would i need to buy to be able to fly this F-16 or do you guys offer a RTF option?

This is offered as a PNP (no receiver included) or a BNF Basic. The BNF Basic requires you to bind your own DSMX transmitter to the plane. You also have to provide a charged battery pack.
