Hands down the best P51 foamy you can buy. It's on rails and can fly low and slow. Truly a masterpiece from E-flite and Horizon. The telemetry everything is amazing. I never have to worry about a dead stick landing. With the end of summer sale I'm going to buy 2 more to keep around as spares. I hope it stays in the lineup for years to come. I'm in love! Everyone I let fly it has bought one for themselves. It's that good. Thanks for putting this gem out there for us to enjoy!

Late to the punch, but thank you so much Horizon for this beautiful warbird😁🙏. A big Mustang fan, my eyes widened the moment this was released. I never had a 6 cell powered plane I never thought I could have one, since it was very expensive for a high schooler. Yet I managed to snag one last June. I love it. I don’t buy for one second people claiming Mustangs are the only planes you make. The 1.2 scale was the only one before the 1.5m extra scale.

This and the fw-190 have got to be some of the most beautiful birds you have for sale on the website. I'm personally a sucker for foamy, scale replica aircraft that are this size, this is the perfect size for good flying characteristics and atill allows it to be easily transported. I have the eFlite cherokee and that was the cheapest scale replica I could find on the website for it's size, so I'm going to have to be willing to pay a little more money for something like the 190 or the p-51 here, because this is just eye candy!

Please keep in mind we released the following "not P-51" scale models/warbirds last year (2019): - Hangar 9 Fokker 30cc - E-flite F-4 Phantom 80mm EDF - E-flite V-22 Osprey VTOL - E-flite P-39 Airacobra 1.2m - Hangar 9 Ki-43 Oscar 50-60cc - E-flite F-18 Hornet 80mm EDF - E-flite Su-30 Twin 70mm EDF - E-flite Twin Otter 1.2m None of them outsold Mustang models, and unfortunately, seem to have already been forgotten :(

Further, the V-22 is killer (I have one) and the Twin Otter looks like a blast (haven't purchased... yet). I was just trying to say that among scale park-sized warbird foamies, a non-Mustang would be a very welcome site :) As I said above, I really dig the features of this model. Retractable tail wheel, 3-piece wing that looks super sturdy and simply without cables, the Smart tech, etc... there's LOTS to be excited about with this model - I just would've liked to see it in a different shape.

Between the Mustang’s release and now you guys released a whole lot of “Not Mustangs” scale/warbirds 1. Eflite twin 64mm A-10 2. Eflite 1.1m T-28 3. Eflite F-18 Blue Angels 4. Hanger 9 Ov-10 Bronco 5. Eflite UMX A-10 6. FMS 80mm Rafale 7. FMS 1700mm F-4U Corsair V3 8. Eflite 1.5m Focke Wulf 190A 9. Eflite 80mm F-16.

The size 1.5m is really better than 1.2m. SAFE Select is included for less experienced pilots or windy days. Hopefully the retracts withstand a harder landing. Alltogether seems to me a very interesting warbird, after Eflite's release of two twin engine cargo flyers. We are used to Eflite's high quality products. Next release hopefully will be a twin engine warbird of this size.

Nice product, nice detail and size. The hobby has changed a lot and I guess we just have to adjust. Seems all that comes out now outside of giant scale are mostly electric foamies. I really hope Horizon one day brings back some of the great Hobbico brands like Great Planes and Goldberg. I miss kit building, wooden ARFs, and traditional glow and gas.

First of all, I love the livery. It should be easy to see, even on a cloudy day. But with any new bird, I have some questions - such as: 1. How hard is it to remove wing panels? I see they go on easily but if I'm buying this for a small car, I'll have to take them off as often as putting them on. 2. Can my older non-smart LiPos work with the Smart ESC? After going to the spare parts list, I am confused about the retracts. It list a "LEFT retract strut assembly, and a RIGHT one. I was hopeful this finally means you have gotten away from FMS/your old marketing practice of only selling the retract struts and assembly as a pair. But then I see the Main Landing Gear Retract Set: P-51D 1.5m Mustang EFLG01251 for $99.99. Based on the price, it appears to be a pair. :-( This is very discouraging. I will not buy another plane that only sells retracts, a major and expensive part, as a pair. If EFLG01255 is a substitute to repair a left or right retract, it may work out, but until that is clearly an option, count me out.
