Brian, thanks for demonstrating these planes the way you do, the others seem to want to show off their flying skills only, sport flying is annoying when you just want to see the product fly. A little is ok.

@@BrianPhillipsRC doing really well. Hard to believe this past Jan. 4th it has been a year since my life event. The FW-190 has seen a tremendous amount of air time. She has been a wonderful platform for learning FPV. So predictable and smooth. That is a beautiful scale model AND with the ability to fully entertain an aerobatic R/C pilot! You have been having a blast with thrust reverse lately! I am gonna set it up on my RF simulator lol. Stay warm if you can, it is 65 here in St. Augustine, right now, and that was a retirement lifestyle preference I've never regretted despite it being so predictable. Keep ya cats off that beauty. I am only where you broke off with a cold, low battery, so now I will watch the rest as you brave more of that finger numbing temperature. Had to Edit: P(ee) Factor at 15:10 and 21:33 on hard stock, cold, skiddy tires?? One more time: Cockpit definitely needs a camera crew passenger!
@BrianPhillipsRC11 ай бұрын
Reverse thrust is rarely a necessity, but when you land on a postage stamp on the regular, it's sure NICE to have! We know everyone won't want it, but always want to show how to do it. 65 degrees sounds amazing... we broke above freezing yesterday and today, but now the fog is so thick there's moments we can't even see beyond our property.

Brian, do you think this is a substantial update on the previous Cherokee 1.3m? I like the red trim scheme on the older version...
@BrianPhillipsRC10 ай бұрын
Yes - 3S&4S support and SMART tech adds thrust reverse and telemetry...other than that...basically a livery update, but I LOVED the original just fine ;) If you have a love for GA, and love slow, lazy flying, OR crazy RV7 type shenanigans, you'll LOVE this plane...I love the former, myself. 3S all afternoon long, and you'll just shoot landings for hours...if that's your thing (which I do)

Just bought this model a few weeks ago, haven't flown an RC aircraft since the 1980's which were mostly 2ch gliders, i do have very little experience with motorized, (nitro) it was a SIG J3 Cub first day, ok, windy and stressful, second day, smoldering hole in the ground, so i stuck to flying real aircraft, they're actually easier to fly, hehe! anyway, i bought the battery Horizon suggested and have a DX8e. Obviously you are an accomplished RC pilot, and make this aircraft look super easy to fly, will this PA28 be reasonable for a novice? & do they all have the TR feature?
@BrianPhillipsRC9 ай бұрын
Yeah, it will be reasonably easy to fly. Keep in mind with the dihedral of the wing, the rudder does make the plane roll some, but beyond that, it's a fun, scale looking beauty!!! Love the Cherokee! bprc.me/Cherokee
@Steve-s3j4p9 ай бұрын
@@BrianPhillipsRC Thank you for the reply, you made it look very nimble and light when flying. Funny, the real PA-28 has a small rudder, and is one of the reasons it's placarded everywhere that intentionally spinning the aircraft if forbidden. This RC Cherokee caught my eye because the PA-28 140 was my training aircraft, and my first solo aircraft, this model has most of the detail of the real aircraft. So this thrust reverse feature, is that something you came up with?

Hello Mr Philips, I’m Ryan and I need your help. My dream when I was younger was to fly Rc airliners but I could never afford it. Now I’m 15 and I’m saving up for the al37 from motion Rc. I asked another KZbinr jays Rc garage if I should get it and he said I should get one more plane that had retracts and flaps before I dive into airliners. I previously flew the apprentice s which I mastered on experience mode, the umx timber original, the twin otter umx, the champ, and I flew the umx citation a little bit. Do you think I should get the al37? I already bought a livery for it but I don’t know if I should commit to purchasing the airliner along with an nx6, a 6s lipo and a receiver. I have the dx63 but Nx6 is way better from what I’ve heard you say and I like how it talks to you. I really want your opinion. If you don’t think I should get the al37 what’s another plane I should get before I move up to the airliner? I was thinking maybe the viper v2 from fms but I trust your judgement way more than mine.
