Improvements on Pure Piano i'd like to see: RESET button for Tuning and Transpose. TAP TEMPO on the delays. Larger buttons to switch effects ON/OFF.

I just bought the Pure Piano and I love it as I do the Ravenscroft. They are both solid pianos, it's nice to hear all these sounds performed by an excellent pianist, you have a nice touch. I think the Pure Piano is my Fav as well. Thanks, great video

I also have all three, but I still feel that Ravenscroft is the best. Pure Piano seems much more percussive to me, while Ravenscroft has a much longer and more realistic sustain. Ravenscoft also has a more resonant quality with apparent string resonance that give it a natural breathiness. Pure Piano (and Korg, even more so) give you a realistic attack, but not a realistic sustain or the warm body of sound that you get with an acoustic. I can't imagine playing Debussy on Pure Piano, as the notes simply seem to drop off and die away too quickly for a proper balance of tone. Ravenscroft also seems a little brighter and better defined, while Pure Piano is more muted, although I suppose that EQ could help. I do like the morph pad in Pure Piano, and this percussive style of piano would work well in some genres. But it's nowhere close to PC-based pianos like Pianoteq, Keyscape, Vienna Imperial...or Ravenscroft 275 (yes, it's also an excellent VST library).

I’m still struggling to decide between Ravenscroft and Purr Piano. It’s such a disadvantage that they don’t offer a trial of 3 or 7 days so I can how they work on my keyboard. Do you have any new perspective about using them?

@@jonathanhall1823 I think that Pure Piano is worth what they charge, but I rarely use it. On the iPad, I still find RavensCroft to be more natural and better-sounding. And if I'm looking for the best possible piano, I'll still use my PC-based VSTs like Keyscape

Thank you for this demonstration. I have several acoustic piano emulations for my iPad, including the ones you demonstrate here. I have always felt that Ravenscroft was highly overrated by many. Of all the pianos I own, Pure Piano definitely provides an advantage in that you can actually hear a more realistic hammer attack sound. That is the main thing I find lacking in so many other virtual pianos for iPad.

Thank you for a wonderful review of these pianos. I have the Korg but knew the Ravenscroft was better. With the arrival of the Pure Piano at it’s current bargain price and your fine demo of it, that’s the one I’m going for. Compliments on your piano playing and also your verbal skills. Subscribed!

I have the 3 pianos too, and listening to this recording I don't have the same impression as when I play myself... Ravenscroft for me is clearly the worst (even if here it does sound that bad). Ivory Amd is the best in terms of sound, especially the low end, but my favourite is the Vintage one, which you didn't play. Natural grand is crappy. Pure piano is probably the overall best, but not the best in terms of purely sound, and especially the low end is not great, but overall (sample length, resonance etc.) it's really great.

Hello! I used a program called screenflow. With it you can connect an iPhone or iPad and use it as a Video/Audio input. The program will record your audio audio tracks with the video feeds and you can later separate the audio if needed. Happy Holidays!

Hi. Did you know the app is working on iOS 14 or 15? I see a review in the app store, from january, saying this is not working after the last atualizations... And how app do you prefer, Ravenscroft or Pure Piano?
@edgaba
@edgaba 2 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure about the new iOS however that is tricky because sometimes after an update people forget to turn their device off again and reboot it. Sometimes that makes everything work again. As for which one I prefer… I really like both however, if I could only have one it would probably Pure Piano.

I plug directly to the computer with the lighting port to usb. If you use USB you’ll get a cleaner sound that if you go from the headphone jack. There are many small USB interfaces that you can use with the iPad. To make the video I plug my iPad to the USB port on my computer and chose the iPad on my settings.
