It's really not a bad little ROMpler/Synth. It has decent internal effects processors, good modulation capabilities, a decent resonance filter, full ADSR envelopes, very powerful arpeggiators, (up to 16, syncable) real time control/tweaking via the 5 knobs, (which can control 12 parameters) etc, & is also expandable via ROM boards. Up to 4 can be installed. (I have the "Techno Synth Construction Yard " card in mine) More than just a "ROMpler", it's actually quite a capable little "synthesizer" in it's own right. You can also add optional upgrades like, digital output (S/PDIF), a second set of MIDI In/Thru ports, & 2 pairs of aux. L/R audio outputs.

There are two variants of this module -- the Turbo Phatt has 128-note polyphony and can take 4 expansion ROM boards, but the Mo' Phatt has 64-note polyphony and can only fit 2 ROM expansions.
