If you ever do the same thing with a Roland MC 303 I will need to take notes🤣…. got one with a few connection issues but I rarely use it. Bought one in the 1990’s but I was so intimidated by it I never did much with it. Now I got another one and am determined to use it sometime. 😛👊🏼

is it any way you can connect this to a DAW? can you do a tutorial?
@brainztain3 жыл бұрын
Yes, you need a midi and audio interface because it doesn't really makes any use of the on board USB. I have tracked loops by syncing with ableton, but it's not perfect, still workable. Not sure if i can do a video any time soon but I'll try 👍

Where to get a suitable replace switch as the one shown in the video? And is the switch and the button one unit or can they be separated?
@brainztain4 ай бұрын
@@gabrielepohly5670 You may be able to find the exact part number on Facebook command station groups. Yes, the part you touch and the button you solder are separate parts. The button you solder is a common part on many electronics, while the one you touch may be harder to find as it's part of the command as station interface.

Hey! Nice tutorial, you should make this a regular thing. Seriously! Mine turns on and freezes with all LED buttons turned on and the LCD goes all black. Tried to turn it on without the ROMs plugged in but still nothing. The oscillator seems to be working still. Any suggestions? Thanks!
@brainztain4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I'm guessing you already plugged/unplugged everything... I'd start there. Maybe disconnect different components one at a time to see if the issue stops at one point that way you can pin-point the issue... Good luck!

Hey there, thanks! Contact cleaner will make it better for a while (it's not air duster). Eventually it starts acting up again so y the only permanent solution is to replace it. I need to replace mine but my version is really soldered in there.

Hey maybe you can answer a question about the mp-7, I've had it since early 2000's, for some reason like a year ago or so, it won't save anymore patterns/songs, everytime I try to save it says 0% memory, I tried to erase songs/patterns, none are erasing but don't know if I'm doing it right, maybe someone can help me out?

@@doja-3652 on a pattern go through and cut the 1st bar of each track and then save after that . Also zero out the title and then save. You should gain memory after doing that on a few patterns.

@Banter Bulldogge it responds to MIDI similar to the demo towards the end of this video so there are several things you can do to control it or sequence other gear/computers. You can't get sound into it because it doesn't sample or process external audio.
