Da dirty patch is totally Massive Attack from safe from harms ( wich is taken from billy cobham's stratus ) to the guitar sound of protection , those machine are so underrated.

At 1:08 , the beat “DaDirty,” it’s heard in La Nouba’s “A Tale.” It’s played in the Aerial Silk Ballet act in the show.

I still have the MO'Phatt I got in 2001 in the basement. E-Mu made some really interesting rack units back in the day....
@Netm8kr10 жыл бұрын
I still actively collect these units, and roms. I have them all except the "Holy Grail" rom. I love the sounds, and they sequence well with my other gear.

took the words out of my mouth. how bout that ensoniq rom and a sound authoring blank???
@Netm8kr10 жыл бұрын
NOCKER513 Fam, the SONIQ was my last EMU purchase. I had a chance to get the blanks. But the seller almost sold me a fake GRAIL rom. So I didn't bother with the other items afterwards. Peace...

sounds great! you've set the bar for my video quality when I do get them made. no more holding back. I just got my turntable from the last lab I had to tear down and I've almost settled with the 128 inst (15.9mb) rom I've made to pull out of this E-5000 and jam in my proteus custom!! muhahahahaha

NOCKER513 Thx fam. For most of my early videos, I wasn't very happy afterwards. But, I'm always over critical of my works. I appreciate that I could inspire any creative thoughts. Usually, I'm drawing it from others. Peace...

Wow 90s flashback, new jack swing! I loved EMU, though I couldn't afford any of their stuff back then.

:) ahh the memories. I got this module back in 2004 I believe. I dont know why I sold it but I was new to digital music production and couldnt figure out how to get the midi triggered sounds to record to my pro tools lite. looking back now, the answer is so simple with the trs outputs. lol.

I just got the EMU "dance planet" Orbit 9090 v2and what you need to know before buying this: these are wave tables, they're samples, not sounds generated in a synth engine. This does mean it has ALL the famous 90s sounds in it and the sounds are extremely well curated so they stand out and mix very well. Also the EMU has some fantastic LFO, filters and effects so the sounds sound great, even though taking up only 4 MB in total. Also you can assign a seperate MIDI channel to up to 16 presets at the same time and play them together as the EMU has voices for days (64 in total). It also has 3 stereo outs which are assignable per preset, so you can split the output, something even a € 4000 Nord synth can't do. All in all, a lot of bang for the buck, even though it doesn't come with sine waves or FM.

I have an E-Mu Morpheus. It's amazing for ambient pads.

Used to have 3 of these. phat, carnaval and earth. I was so sad to see EMU fade away into the sunset.
Love your demos. I wish i could hear each preset individually. Thanks a lot!

Cool stuff. Just read the review of it the May 1997 edition of Future Music. Nice to find this machine on here and find out what it sounds like. Thanks for sharing.

Hey Quick Question... I Have The Planet Phatt and Orbit and Holding The Master & Edit Buttons The Beats Play on Orbit But Not Working on The Planet Phatt. It Shows The Beat on The Display But No Sound. Do U Have any Idea Why or What 2 Do To Fit It? Is It a Such Thing That ALL The Beats Could Be Erased? Everything Else Works But Not Beats :( Any Help Would Be Awesome. Thanks In Advance!!!

well he's just using the yamaha kx49 as the midi controller keyboard to play the sounds from all of his e-mu synth expanders in the rack you see... so there is a lot to find: proteus 2000, vintage pro, planet earth, b3 and of course the planet phatt expander :-)
