Thank you! My son told me today that he could hear a strange noise randomly during hard acceleration on his E-revo 2.0 (had it for 2 weeks). Sometimes I consider myself lucky, like today, when I watched this video where you talk about loose drive cup screws from factory, and yes, both front left and back right drive cup screw was loose to a degree that drive cups had started to move out from where they are supposed to sit. Fixed now, many thanks!

Exact same situation! (But I'm the son, and my dad said, he couldn't hear it ;P)

After about 20 runs on my E-Revo 2.0 I also agree with Alex that the E-Revo 2.0 wants more centre diff control and more viscosity in the front and rear as I see front inside tire ballooning on grass surfaces and loose hard packed dirt and even on pavement, clearly this is a fantastically designed truck and it goes like snot but it is important as Alex says to go over your ride from top to bottom then, actually drive it and see how it handles and make decisions from there to how to improve handling and performance based on how it runs.

Would love to cut off the horrible traxxas battery plugs but can't because of my 30 day warranty! Had issues already trying to adapt that strange connector to EC5, anyway, great company and love there gear. I'm an old guy and I remember that that my 1971 Dodge Challenger Hemi Cuda came with a 60 day warranty!

Tony 109 no your right I put in The description to make sure to put that blue gasket on the ring gear needs to be placed on the diff cup I did forget to put it on I went back and put it back on before I installed it back on a the vehicle

Why did you use 60,000wt and why didn't you use locktight on the out shafts
@pewterngold4 жыл бұрын
Nice vid. Just curious...what was your experience after using the 60WT diff fluid in terms of how the ERevo drove and handled? I am planning on buying one in a couple months and have been watching various videos of mods that people have done with theirs.
@davidcook79706 жыл бұрын
Sorry if I missed it, but have you used the same diff oil in both front and rear?
@ronaldcostigan54476 жыл бұрын
Really impressed thank you
@regriemer6 жыл бұрын
You can't fill the diff right up with fluid it's going to explode when you put 6S power and heat on it as the fluid will expand and pull the screws out of the housing. Not bashing just reporting love your videos, the old man Racer guy!
@martyncrease82896 жыл бұрын
You need to fill it maximum 90% when the fluid heats up it will expand and bust the gasket or seal if it’s 100% fall 👍

whats the benefit of running 60k fluid
@jeancena87616 жыл бұрын
So after you have probably taken it completely apart, was everything lubricated correctly so that you could just drive it out of the box without worrying about anything?
@alexperea206 жыл бұрын
Jean Cena no the rear diff barley had any fluid in it the front diff had just a bit more than the rear also the tourq biasing center diff was empty and the transmission gears were Basically dry no lubrication on the gear surfaces so me personally I'd recommend at least tracking and over it would not hurt anything it looks to be built very well though from what I can tell the differentials the transmission looks like it's very well built same with the CV axles they look very nicely built I think this truck is gonna be very promising where it falls short is the speed control and the motor in my opinion

You missing a seal for the differential

You put 60k on front and rear?
@jimmygeorge35826 жыл бұрын
Did you ever put the gasket back on to the diff...l noticed you forgot. ...I was yelling out to you...just wondering.
@alexperea206 жыл бұрын
Yes I did absolutely after I stop the video I realize the gasket wasn't on the diff cup and I retook took apart the differential put the gasket back on and then put it in the vehicle thanks for asking
@jimmygeorge35826 жыл бұрын
Alex rc freak I did the opposite. On my kraton...somehow managed to put 2 gaskets on the rear diff...couldn't. Fit the shim when installing it. ....come to find out the original gasket was still in the ring gear gear. .didn't even notice...it looked like metal eyeballing it. So I thought there wasn't a gasket from the factory. ..put another on. Hence double gasket. Its the reason why diff with shim would not fit...boy the tolerance is sure tight....anyway got to do some chain sawing...im here in wilmington. Nc . Got hit pretty bad with the hurricane. ...good day...you're the best....jim

if one tire is ballooning your putting wasted HP out to balloon that tire, not good, its just an amazing buggy for just out of the box thou as it is and Alex has shown with how big and strong all the gear is in the drivetrain, as Alex says, time will tell on the Traxxas new in house electronics .

Why 60k? Is 100k too thick for 6s?
@alexperea206 жыл бұрын
65ondubz no not at all i wanted to try a lower les thicker diff fluid but not as thin as stock so in my opinion 60k is perfect for this truck 100k would also work very well also it would feel like more posi track with 100k but still have enough movement for the diff gears to work thanks for watching the video I really appreciate it
@jimmygeorge35826 жыл бұрын
Alex rc freak I'm going run 80k in both...seems like a happy medium. If not going to 100k...
