This cereal was SO good. They should really should have never stopped making it. We bought hundreds. We used to clip the bottom of the scan bar of the box because you could turn them in for rewards. I found a box in my attic one day of hundreds of those, and was like, "Wow, we bought that many (not including the ones we turned in)?" I wouldn't say it tasted like Reeces Puffs. Way better.

For crisps sake. JUST MAKE IT YOURSELVES. Cereal can be made at home, all of the ingredients are on the packaging. Just make the dough, cut it into your shapes and bake until crispy.

I had this cereal only once when I was about 6-7 years old at a friends house. Only once! I'm 38 years old now and I can tell you I can still remember the taste. It's like Reese's puff mixed with the grain bits from lucky charms. I would pay to eat it again. To me it's the best cereal I've ever had.

I'm old enough to remember watching it in theaters when I was 5 in 1982. The cereal was, straight up like reeses puffs but I remember it tasting more like peanut butter crunch, not as much chocolate.

this was my (honestly) my favorite cereal, of ALL-TIME!!!!! 💓💗💓💗 I would literally eat it all the time! 😄 it absolutely crushed me when it got discontinued.... Chocolate-Peanut Butter Cheerios is pretty close to E.T. So is Reese's Puffs. Neither are better than E.T. though.

I faintly remember having E.T. Cereal back in the mid '80s. I must have had it once or only a few times since the memory is faint, but I know I had it. I remember it being pretty good with the peanut butter and chocolate flavor, but either I didn't continue eating it if I didn't like it as much as my other favorite cereals at the time, or because I couldn't get it anymore after it was discontinued. I'm not sure which, but I'm glad I got to try the first peanut butter and chocolate flavored cereal!

is there a cereal today that is anything like 'Forified Oat Flakes?' You may have heard that Fortified Oat Flakes were very good. it is true. (The cover always had two tennis players on it. that left the market around 1979 or 1980... Other greats were 'Team Flakes', and 'Cinnamon crunch' (featured the pirate, from capt crunch)

I heard it. I had the creepy poster on my wall. You can find a recording online. This was pure nightmare fuel for me. I would not eat the E's and T's together or he would get me at night. Lol. I still won't watch this movie full through. My poor 4,5 year old s lf beck then. I'll be 41 in a few month. But I totally remember this period of time as if it were yesterday.

i thought it was funny in the movie when e.t. threw the container of potato salad on the kitchen floor and said "nnnnyighck! blah!" about it. and I read somewhere that the trick or treat scene was actually filmed on halloween 1981. and the scene where the refrigerator door knocked e.t. over is a blooper that happened while they were filming and the producers thought it was funny and decided to leave it in the movie
