I love all of your projects as I was born in 73 so I'm a 70's/ 80's kid, but this one has been so nostalgic. I'm from a big family so Mum and Dad couldn't afford to take us all to the pictures when E.T was released in England, however not wanting us to miss out on the fun they somehow and very naughtily managed to acquire the film on pirate video. So we all sat in our living room stuffing our faces with sweets, laughing, crying and cheering on that little alien and we had so much fun. It became one of my fondest childhood memories, all together safe and loved with not a care in the world, oblivious to the fact that childhood is over in the blink of an eye.

I really enjoyed reading your comments, I read it to my husband also.. I had parents like that, they had to be fugile with three kids, but wanted us to have the best childhood they could afford. That's so cool! I don't remember the first movie I watched on VHS, I think it may have been Star Wars at my uncles house, but I do remember that my grandpa bought our first VCR for my mom for her birthday. Oh I was so excited! It felt like MY birthday, That thing was huge lol!

@@WhitneyLaBrie my kids have no idea how lucky they are to have the world literally at their fingertips. I’m so thankful for the opportunity to have creative digital content available from artists like yourself who I could only have ever read about in a magazine. Teens don’t know they are born, ha that makes me feel old! We did feel very posh getting our first VCR but the excitement of a visit to the video hire store was the most thrilling treat each Friday to choose our films for the weekend. You capture that thrill and excitement in your dioramas and dolls houses. 😍xx

Awe thank you! I sure enjoyed this, I liked everything but I was really happy with the umbrella cause I initially struggled with how to come up with an easy concept that most people could create, cause you could easily add all sorts of fabric and make lots of different umbrella looks!

@WhitneyLaBrie First time I needed to add an umbrella to a junk journal I used a cocktail umbrella (as is).😊🍹 They're just so darn happy. Yes, I've seen people struggle to make umbrellas with wire, junk plastic, shrink wrap, etc. What a pain. Yours is excellent. 🏆

Thank you for bringing back all those lovely memories, hadn’t thought about it in ages. Your art really is beautiful and amazing! 🧡🖤🧡 Also now the E.T. Song is running through my head 😊

thank you so so much for sharing that story! I love reading that sort of thing, this movie brings me back too. I remember my daddy taking me to a 5 and dime type store called MOTTS when I lived in Texas, He gave me some money and I picked out a little tiny E.T figure, it made me so happy and I remember that it was the first time at the cashier where I was the one who gave the money and got change and the receipt, I felt like a big girl!

originally I had purchased that bracelet when I was building the space ship crash for the dollhouse and I thought it would be cool to have a scene inside the ship, but the plastic was too difficult to see through so I opted out, it was great to use it for this scene!

I love the depth, detail, colors and textures in all your projects. Being from California, one of the many reasons I loved this movie was how it captured the fall season out here on the west coast. Windy, cloudy, foggy, drizzly without being too rainy or too cold. You've captured all that so well in YOUR scene!!! Those leaves are so cool! You've knocked this out of the park as usual. The communicator! Real dedication making the solar system! They really need you in Hollywood making mock up scenes for big pictures. Girl! 'What I do know about is cocktails...' LOLOLOL 😂😂😂🥰✨ I say Reese's rhymes with pieces. Just like you're saying it. One of my favorite candies. 😋

you really hit on something.....a secret dream I have...so get the chance to work on a movie set, doesn't have to be a career, but just once! Oh how cool that would be! You are the only one who mentioned the cocktails comment! Now I know for sure who shares in my sense of humor! lmao! I think many people on the east coast say Reeses the other way, I could be wrong but I lived in Maryland and traveled all over the east for about two years, its the only places I've heard it pronounced reee-seas...lmao

Henry Winkler - the Fonz - was absolutely a LOVE! He is definitely one of the kindest, sweetest celebs I ever met.💜

I would love to meet Henry Winkler! I feel like he would really be a nice person in real life. The fun thing about The Frightners is that it is more of a comedy than a true scary movie, it's a supernatural comedy. lol. It stars Micheal J. Fox. Epic Whitney, I wouldn't worry a dot about the trees not being redwoods, you and I both know often times making minis is more about creating the vibe of something and not always about precision and perfection. I totally get it that the realism and perfection thing is some peoples jam and that is awesome, but there is more than one way to create and you did a wonderful job of it!
@WhitneyLaBrie2 ай бұрын
that is very true, sometimes it is about the vibe and to be honest I'm kinda thrilled about those fake manzanita branches, they have saved me tons of time, making and painting trees!
