Our right to travel to other countries is NOT ABSOLUTE because the receiving country also have rules and regulations governing incoming visitors to their country. This is particularly true for countries who have extended visa-free entry to Filipinos. It is important for Filipinos to respect this privilege extended to them in the form of a visa-free entry by not overstaying! Gets nyo?!

Im tired of all the complications just to visit Pinas and now leave, im going too try other countries that are making it easier for travellers. What is wrong with this country it depends on tourism but never stops making it a problem to travel here. The previous people said the Internet in the Philippines is awful. But being a foreigner trying to use your own phone to access Internet maybe even a greater issue. This is just another layer of government intrusion if I have a return ticket with a boarding pass that should be sufficient for me because it check my passport is documented on the computer that I left the country.

If this new etravel departure implemented and required all seniors traveling should also be assisted or even a kiosk otherwise , this is not a senior friendly country. I am a senior planning to travel to the Philippines but the way I see it on all vloggers even in the news it’s a scary disastrous time for us senior citizens from another country that wants to go home now as Filipinos. Dear God guide all the thinking brains of the government to consider how they can assist seniors traveling in and out of the Philippines. Goodluck to me and the traveling seniors ! May God give a clear bright brains for all Philippines officials specially for travel requirements that we seniors needs guidance. Hope that all seniors will not be or get scam for getting help or assistance while in the Philippines. Only Philippine Passport holders should only register the e-travel departing the Philippines like the Travel Departure card before. Foreign passport holders never filled the travel card before so why will they register on-line now. They should look into this asap.

I just wanted to take a moment to say Thank You Jennifer, you present great information and ideas and suggestions in a very nice way. Philippine Airlines now requires US citizens to have a VISA if you plan to buy round trip tickets exceeding 30 days. There must be a way around this - by booking a flight less than 30 days and rescheduling the return ticket once there.

They should only implement the e-travel departure registration to Philippine passport holders not to foreign passport holder. Foreign passport holders never filled the departure card from the Philippines before.

Gets more complicated every day. Foreigners never had to do a dec card document upon exit before. Foreigners who stayed 6 months or more need ECC to exit already. Foreigners with SRRV already have to do an online exit pass to to depart. And now this too. Would be nice if they would have put this rule out for public comment before inplementation. Kiosks coiuld make things more backed up on exit. Traveling is complicated and stressful enough without this new complication. Many problems with this that will be discovered, by the public. Sana all.

Thanks for the video Jennifer. I've travelled to many countries across the globe. Philippines I always felt had too much red tape! Every country should be vigilant on those arriving but, departing for foreign nationals? I am British, before I would turn up at the airport, ignore all those fees you guys have to queue for and pay, get my passport checked and wait for my plane. Now I feel I got to justify my leaving, very peculiar. But then, some officials have always been like this. 2016, there with my husband, well, fiancé then heading off to HK for a few days. Official at the airport demanded to know where was I going after Hong Kong? I told her I was returning to the Philippines and she wanted to know why?! I said, to spend more time with family so she wanted to know who's family! Eventually she accepted my explanation and then wanted to know when I intended to leave the Philippines? I'll be honest, I did make a comment to her like she wasn't making me feel like I was welcome there, giving her country a bad name. I showed her my return ticket and she was satisfied. I honestly don't think I look like a person trying to mess up the system. When my fiancé came to the UK in 2017 for our wedding (because you guys are still in the dark ages on same sex relationships), he'd asked all the questions and thought he had all the paperwork but no, they offboarded him and made him go speak to someone about human trafficking! He was a respected teacher over there and they treated him like he was an idiot! Cost a lot of money to pay for a new flight too. Now, he's a British citizen too and we have to justify why we are coming home I guess! It's crazy. At least he doesn't have to pay exit fees any more!

As far as I can remember, since I first travelled back in the 70’s, there never was a fast and effecient processing of documents by the Immigration. It’s always chaos and confusion, change of rules and regulations every now and then. There never was a permanent rule implemented so travelers especially Filipino citizens can feel at least a sigh of relief and not pressured.

Philippines make it so hard to travel there, now another change, what a joke! What happens to people that don’t have access to internet to do e-travel. It will be a mess with delays upon delays. I don’t see them putting kiosk in the airport, they can’t even afford to hire more immigration officers to lessen the lines. Makes me not want to travel there, in my case I don’t have a choice, selling my house, so I have to travel there. Not looking forward to long lines and a lot of inconvenience.
