According to our daily user experience we can present the differences between the brand new ETWOW Booster GT vs ETWOW Booster V.
Autonomy expected @65kg of load, 1m70 (battery down to 20%)
Speedlimited @25km/h: 40km+
Speedlimit off (over 34km/h): 30km
Autonomy expected @95kg of load, 1m92 (battery down to 20%):
Speedlimited @25km/h: 33-35km
Speedlimit off (over 34km/h): 22km
Conclusion - what we like:
The ETWOW GT has much more torque compare to the V. Appreciable when you are an heavy guy, it will cross little slope like bridges almost without efforts.
When not speed limited, you'll feel a little "kick" when you pass the 30km/h mark point. Nice!
Extra acceleration also brings more safety when you need to accelerate when the lights turn green into traffic. Cars won't take the risk to overtake in the first 20m.
Longer deck board gives a more manoeuvrable feeling. Easier to avoid a pothole or such other bad things coming on the road.
Autonomy was a kind of a surprise! 20km at max speed (without speed limit) isn't bad at all imo. 30km+ @25km/h is really decent.
Speedometer is now more accurate! (but still not perfect)
Battery gauge: for previous ETWOW Booster user, we all noticed that the gauge was dropping off to 0% very quick from 50%. Not the case anymore! When showing 50% left, you can trust it (though not recommendend to drive under 20% battery).
What we regret:
Not much actually, already a big fan of the ETWOW Booster for more than a year and half.
Optional Cruise control has been removed. Why?
No more P3 - max speed 30kmh - was kind of nice to go a bit faster without driving crazy.
Still not waterproof.
Front light is good to be seen, but not to see.
Is it worth to upgrade? If you are looking for more torque/acceleration and a bigger autonomy, definitely yes. Other than that? Not really. Just wait for the next generation ;)
Nota: sorry for the windy conditions, we couldn't do better. Our conclusion was almost inaudible... impossible to add to the video infortunately...
Thank's for watching, other tests are coming, hopefully soon :)
