There will never be another era in music like the 80’s. I was a club DJ and music in those days was fun and there were so much talent making it. Cameo, Prince , MJ, Gap Band , midnight Star, Shannon , the Deel, RFTW, the list and talent was unlimited. What the hell happen to music today? It truly sucks. Once in a great while you might get a decent song. In the eighties it was a flood of one jam after another. Damn those were the days.

I’m constantly telling my kids who are 20 and 29 that so many songs today are ripping off music from the 80s and 90s. Because sometimes some of the lyrics are verbatim in these newer songs. They look at me completely surprised that I know them and I tell them it’s because they stole them from the 80s!

Just played this on the warehouse radio and everybody started dancing!!!!
@moistmushroom99223 жыл бұрын
Hey Phatboysuperkool Ya ok now your lieing everyone didn't start dancing infact not a single person started dancing. Come on be real I work at several warehouses full of guys and girls ages 23 to 60 ish because of what my job entails visiting warehouses fixing the powered equipment and we always have the radio blaring in the warehouse speaker system to give us some music to enjoy while we all work hard and at most of the warehouses I worked at that we listen to a R&B, hip hop, pop that play mainstream music from the 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s up to today's new music I usually spend up to 2 weeks at a time at each wearhouse returning to each of them when needed and the songs that play don't cause anyone in any of the warehouses who is working to start dancing infact this song doing the but is played several times a week at the Gillette headquarters in Boston Massachusetts more often then most songs and yes people from that era comment on how this was their jam back in the day depending on who it is some from that era don't say a word they just continue to work. But as catchy as this song is and the popularity of it amongst the majority of the people I work with nobody starts dancing to this song or other songs that people grew up listening to every day the only thing is this song and many that are just as catchy and popular put smiles on people's faces and gives them a new found motivation and desire to work harder and more efficiently but they don't dance just like not a single person who you work with didn't start dancing when you say you played this song over the warehouse speaker system.do you usually take songs you like and play them over the speaker system you just happened to have played this particular song over the speaker system then if you are playing this same song over the speaker system why are you watching this video on KZbin JUST put the song on loop. First how were you able to play the song over the speaker system do you have the music CD or cassette tape because there is no Radio at your warehouse and the rest of them in the world that is Bluetooth compatible so you wouldn't be able to or even capable of connecting your Smart phone to the warehouse speaker system. So how did you just play this song on the warehouse speaker system. I've seen enough Radio set ups in several different warehouses and they are all a mix from old school stereo systems connected to the speaker system in the warehouse that predates wifi and Bluetooth or what technology advancements we have now or the warehouse has a multi music CD disk Player, playing the CD disks on a random loop that continuously plays through the day. I also am educated in business management with years of experience with finance and budget appropriations and oversaw a few budget committees and had many discussions about budget expenditures within the companies I worked at when they expand to a bigger facility or build a bigger warehouse facility or expansion of the ones already built. And I can tell.you that when it comes to the type of radio or music set up no company will ever spend the money on a decent system that plays music in fact some even omit the overall funding for a music set up for the warehouses because they think the money would be best used in a different area of the budget so usually someone buys a system after the building is built the management will use petty cash to buy something affordable and when I say affordable I mean basic set up not expensive. But there is usually a good number of us that sing along with the songs we hear being Played. And it's funny because a good amount of my coworkers can't sing for the life of them but they still do it because it brings happiness to them and good moral and good moral in the work place makes a productive work place. I have seen some of the younger kids who weren't born during the glory days of what was the best music era ever have asked some of us who are close to our 50s what is da but, and they usually think the song was about having sex in the but which has brought some good laughter amongst us. Then we tell them what doin da but is and they usually respond the same way saying wow they can't believe they never heard this song before hearing it here during work. That it usually sparks up some long discussions about the types of music we like when the topic comes up then usually us older hipper and cooler folk break out the smartphone and go on KZbin and start playing all the classics from the best generation that ever lived during the 80s and 90s those 2 decades has given us the absolute greatest music from every genre nothing that plays today can compare to the music from the 80s and 90s. Nobody ever breaks out dancing when any song comes on the radio just like nobody you work with danced to this song because you didn't play it on the radio speaker system. Why lie. Not only do I work in a large warehouse I also worked in several different warehouses over the last several years because of my job title and it requires me to go to different warehouses fixing the equipment like fork lifts and pickers and lifts and more and I spend a good portion of my day on the warehouse floor and listen to the same music as everyone else. And never has a single person break out dancing. Sing maybe but no dancing people don't dance while working never has never will. So why lie

This looks like the school I went to while I lived in DC named Browne Junior High in NE DC. I mean the doors, hallway and cafeteria looked similar. Wow… takes me back.

I am going to say it since no one else is going to say it. For all the people that say the music today is nasty and just talk about sex; well guess where we got it from? Our lovely grandparents and parents generations. I LOVE IT ALL!!! I still play this song when I am cycling on my commutes!!😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤

When I was a little I mean little kid like I think 5 or so this used to be my favorite song(or so I was told by my family) but I used to say “Where you get the lotion” instead of “When you get that notion”. I’m 36 now and one of my uncles still to this day says “Where you get that lotion at” in almost a child like mocking voice but he’s not being serious mocking me he just be playing with me when he does it lol. I forgot all about this song until it just randomly popped up in my head for some reason outta the blue and had to come listen to it lol.
