Ash anna, there are multiple reasons why spinners would go for a premium We had ipl in uae two years before last year's mega auction which did not really help spinners a lot due to small grounds and other factors When it was in India in 2021, we played a lot of games in pitch 5-6 in the same stadium making one side relatively smaller for spinners Teams in last mega auction felt we can manage without marquee spinners and missed a trick as rr spent 11 on two of Indias finest and the results speak for themselves, teams like RCB, MUMBAI, HYDERABAD barely did well Each team needs 8 indians and having one premium spinner is of paramount importance this year and hence Kkr have played a worldclass trick by getting two spinners in their retention I hope you agree with my points and am more than happy to rebut as well Loads of love and admiration

**MUMBAI INDIANS AUCTION STRATEGY** From Mumbai Indians' perspective, I would have rather bought the likes of Wanindu Hasaranga, Adil Rashid, Adam Zampa, or Mitchell Santner. Also, there's a slim chance of them splurging on Yuzvendra Chahal or KL Rahul. The reasoning is that they need a primary spinner, which they have missed for quite a few seasons. For Rahul, the thinking might be that they need someone who can anchor the innings and keep wickets. They have an aggressive opener, a reliable middle order, and a good Indian finisher. With this kind of batting lineup, they can afford to use a specialist spinner like Adam Zampa or Adil Rashid, who could be used as impact players. Also, I believe foreign pacers won't be very expensive, and MI usually gets the auctions right, so that will be taken care of. The only thing they'll be concerned about is finding someone to support Hardik Pandya. Players like Romario Shepherd, Rovman Powell, Liam Livingstone (he fits in very well with a specialist spinner who'll play as an impact player and should come cheap in the auction), or Glen Philips (falls in the similar category as Liam Livingstone), etc., could be good options.
