The Versailles Palace had served a useful historical purpose of compelling nobles into courtiers instead of becoming feudal lords but it was bad optics at the time of Louise xvi. He should have abandon it and move closer to Paris to ignite medieval alliance of king/commoners against nobility/feudality. Moreover, only if Marie-Antoinette could play queen of France. The revolution might have been averted. But I am glad it happened to pave the way for common people to wield power and ended age-old power structures.
