Finally got this video out as other things have had to take priority, that shouldn’t detract from the fact that these are two awesome classic RC buggy’s from the 80’s and 90’s. Checkout out these two classic Team Associated Racers. Enjoy.

Thank you very much, I’ve done quite a bit of work on the B2 since I filmed this video, hope to have it running fairly soon, rc10 all runs just need to film it, but just recently filming outdoors has gotten a bit more difficult due to weather

It's neat to be nuts lol love how you have all your team associated cars when you show ur next project build its like a family meeting I'm trying to get a xmax or a redcat kaiju love ur sct body I kinda want a gold pan but price has gone up it's got that vintage look too it I got on the steng ray roller coaster it was fun I'm at SeaWorld haunted house watching the video

Yes, it's a Trinity motor, part of the Speed Gems line, 2nd in the series of Speed Gems I think, wasn't really a close up so hard to tell. Great Buggies Andy, what a find!!!!! If you need or want more info, I can try to dig up more on it (Love Trinity brushed motors).

I'm sorry Andy, If the motor says Jade on it, it's the 1st gen Speed Gems Motor, If it was the 2nd gen, the label on the motor would say Speed Gems 2. The Jade is a 15 turn quad (15x4) @ rpm is 27,000 and has 113 watts of power.

Oh, that was good information to me, with my limited Associated knowledge! From back in the 80'ies, I don't think I ever heard of this RC10, I was just a child, playing with RC's and then I finally got my Striker, proper hibby grade RC. But this was way above me, I think. My neighbour actually has an RC10 Goldpan, and we raced out on the street a couple years ago, it was a right disaster. I only had my DT-03 then with a Torque Tuned in it, and he had rebuild the RC10 with a cheapo brushless, way too fast, and ancient worn tyres, it was really bad, we had a ton of fun and crashed into each other. Sadly he's mostly interested in real cars but at least he's got a child, so maybe I can find someone to play with RC's with in the future... Oh, that became a way too long comment. Nice RC10s. When you get the classic one running, do you think you might post a video from one of your races? That might be cool/fun to see. I think the Jade motor you have is from the Speed Gems series that was made by Trinity.

Even where im at in the U.S its hard finding a gold pan chassis that is not either bent or has had holes drilled in it to save weight.

Hi Heathcliff , yes I can imagine that a lot of them were cut drilled and modified for racing , which is fine in its own right but when you want a nice original one it becomes difficult to source

You can still by brushed motors by some manufacturers , Reedy do the Radon motor etc I suppose the golden era of brushed motors is long long gone now

Thanks Barry. The gold pan is great , needs a bigger pinion but it’s lovely to run very fun indeed. B2 is being refurbished, hope to have that ready soon a well . Thanks as always chap

The andy's arms are not any stronger, but wider like the ones fitted to later cars. That's quite a hot motor for a 6 gear transmission, you might want to get some spare idler gears if you race it. There were harder versions available part no 6614

Thanks for the advice in regards to the idler gear I didn’t no that. Luckily I don’t use lipos in my cars just nimh packs do that may save it a little . Thank is for watching the video much appreciated

When I used to Race. I would only use Team Associated buggies and trucks. I would race the RC10 and the RC10t. The motors that I used were Trinity Pink can motor for my RC10 and the Green can motor for my truck. This was just for the stock class of racing. Thoughts?

That’s cool , when I used to race my T3 I had a Corally modified motor in mine, think It was a 12t , very quick back then. I have a green motor in that B2 it’s called a jade not sure if it’s the same motor used by you back in the day. Love a good brushed motor , but in some circumstances you need a brushless motor these days. Essential for top level racing at least, also depends what class and spec of racing as well

The front Andy’s arms are wider than stock. Similar to “worlds” arms.
