Subscribed..... after finding about 2 dozen of my old RC Car Action magazines from 91-93 in great condition in my parent's attic, I want to get back into the hobby. These vintage re-issues look awesome!

Welcome back to vintage RC. Things have boomed in the last few years and you will be amazed at what is available again. Brushless motors and lipo batteries have also made a massive impact on speed and run times. Yokomo, AE, Tamiya, Kyosho have all embraced the rerelease and we are now seeing more and more small after market companies popping up again.

Hey love your channel and I was thinking that, you should do a follow up video showing how to cut and trim the body. I recently purchased a vintage 6001 kit and I can’t really find a video detailing on how to cut it. Being that they released several versions this past year, there are others like myself whom would greatly appreciate your expertise.

Great vid as usual. I had to get 2 as i dont have an original in the collection and im not sure if they will ever do a basic gold pan rere. Another video I've watched said you have to notch the gear housing to fit the eclip. I hated hearing that and maybe you can find a work around when you build it. The kit really looks amazing and i love the color of anodizing they have chosen. Cant wait to build mine and cant wait to watch your build video. So Sorry you will auction yours off as this will be a legend!

Contemplated this kit for a hot minute. But have the RC10 Classic that already sits as a shelf queen.
@RCKickschannel8 ай бұрын
If you have one of these, be it a shelf queen vintage one or the original rere version, 100% having a 40th isn’t going to bring you much more really as it’s the same car. Well, unless you are a full blown TA collector and want one of everything and it’s your core collection. I’ve had a vintage RC10, a rere RC10, the CC and now the 40th and I just can’t justify keeping so many of the same buggy so I’ll stick with the vintage one. For me, I like one of each model release.

100% agree with you on this one.
@josephslomka81618 ай бұрын
As a collector it a really big disappointment since each manual tells a new part of the rc10 story. I have many of them from early Edinger to the CC one. There was something nice about grabbing a sandwich and a few paper plates to start the build. I wish there was a second box to purchase with a blue label motor, a second battery cup, a mechanical speed controller and a manual with pictures of each and every championship winning rc10.
@cogboy3028 ай бұрын
You could always print a hard copy of the manual. I have the original manual for the Tamiya Frog I got in 1984, but it's been well thumbed through, and now being 40 years old is rather fragile, so I downloaded and printed another copy. Plus I have a NIB Frog re-re kit. Haven't got round to comparing the original & the re-re manuals to spot the differences.

@@cogboy302 no i don't have a printer anymore. Manual should come with it. i liked the tamiya manual where screws are 1to 1 in it so you can check if your taking the right one

Purists get ready. My kit showed up a couple weeks ago, and I am going to build it to replicate my original racer from 84-85. Yup. All the tweaks and mods that first year of hard racing I learned, going into my new classic. That's the RC10 I want. So many killer memories and races/events with that first one. To be fair, I was a highly competitive 12-13 year old, highly impressionable and followed every article, pic and piece of info I could find on Jay Halsey and his Dad, and his setup at the time.
