How does moving something to the Store make it more accessible? For partners, it means all our consultants have to sit on their hands and wait for a customer account to go and get the app. I have a current project where it added almost two weeks to the project while we waited for the customer to find someone with access who was available and walk them through the Get process. When the CMDB class models app was on monthly update that worked just fine, I thought. Has something changed? Or is it that once something is in the store it is decoupled from release schedule so you can push out updates to the instance directly?

It really depends on how the store app is setup and there’s a couple of facets to it. The first is that for some store releases like UIB they’ll automatically do a “true-up” at release time where it’ll grab the most current version of UIB, which is generally the previous store release. Also, to get the newest version, since it’s auto-installed by default, you just need to go into plugin manager, find it in the updates list, and update it to the newest version. No need to. go through store provisioning. The benefit is that we can deliver new features faster. For example, there will be some new things coming to UIB in the May store release so you won’t have to wait until the Xanadu release in Q3.
