Alberto, you've really turned that classic Basher into a truly respectable Scaler!! 👏👏👏😎 I still don't get how some people figure Scale... Most Tamiyas are TRUE 1/10th Scale. ECX Barrage is also 1/10th Scale. My SCX10 is 1/9th Scale. The Vaterra Ascender Blazer is nearly 1/8th Scale!! Some people have been too thick to understand. You have really done a great Service to the Hobby!! Your Engineering prowess is amazing! I'm not just fluffing you up, I mean it. You're not focusing on all high end Unobtainium... You're giving new life to forgotten Classics. That can't be overstated!! I just thought you should be recognized. Thank you! Carmine ✈🚂🚙

I have no experience with that Chassis... I'm trying to get either an ECX Barrage or MST CFX Chassis. But I do want to do a "Scaler Blackfoot". I'm even thinking about cutting out the plate in back and doing a full Drop Bed!! 😳

You can 3D print a A gas can ( like a gerrycan ) that mounts inside the Roll bar to hide those wires in.

The KBF will be looked at soon. I have always hated the front end on that. How tamiya managed to make it worse than the original I will never know.

put two light cables left and two right, meet them in a tool box or reserve wheel located on the bed cover.

Would a two piece design be a possible solution? You could make use of the inner cavity and route the wires through that. Have the bottom portion removed and it would be near undetectable from most views, especially standing. You could even have it exit cab side just enough above the end of the mounting screw and have a small clip to hold the wire close to the roll bar. Does all that make sense? LOL

I totally agree and sadly, I have done this before. It ends up being a mess with the details since you need the Nylon print for durability but it lacks the detail needed. Then the ultra detail comes in to play but it is expensive and weak. I think to your point, a channel under it is needed and then I should have made my own harness with some 30 AWG wire.

I use cat5 wire pairs for my LEDs. It’s thin and stiff so it will take shape and stay put pretty easily.

Do you reckon you could’ve put a trench on the underside of the bar to tuck the wires into?

I thought about that but the wires are a large gauge. I think a trench and custom wiring would have been the smart thing to do.

This would be the perfect time to get comfortable with enameled magnet wire. I have seen green, red, orange, copper, so there are choices.

@@AMPROEngineering I used to use 40 & I think 36 gauge when I worked at Xerox to fix damaged circuit board traces. It should be perfect for a scale wiring appearance as well.

Opinion: I think the white is too stark a difference. I'm all for the look, but i would totally pick a suuuuuper rusted old black. like... it was raw steel, no primer, and one thick coat of "rustoleum" when it was done fresh in 1992 still a cool video! it's always nice to see when you try something and maybe it doesnt quite work. those wires... thats a tough one!

I was thinking about black also (looks way dingier in person) but then I saw one with a rusted old roll bar in white and thought....yep. There it is. I think I needed to make my own harness with smaller wires. That breakout board it came with is a mess.

AMPRO Engineering yeah that's a bit of a tough design. I feel like designing the roll bar hollow, and running your own wires tediously through it might work.... but getting the wire around the bend would be a nightmare... doing the channel suggestion seems promising, especially if you are capable of designing a channel cap... but I worry about seam lines ruining that really good scale look you have going on... maybe channel the top, and make a hollow tube down the sides??? mounting would be a challenge, unless you mounted via a tab or something.......... I look forward to seeing what you come up with haha

Well, its not the ORV monster beetle. It is the GF01R chassis with portals and the body from the old QD beetle. I don't know who they are marketing to.

Hahah, yeah I hear you. I do think they lack the understanding of what a crawler is. You kind of need a lot of suspension travel and that chassis...well...it doesn't. Tamiya has really lost my attention lately.

You really should take a look at the video on the new mini lunch box I would think you like the new sw01 chassis. Do you feel the same way about kyoshos too?
