Out standing natural beauty... countryside that is. Can see why we could all fall for such an idealistic life, envy you both, live, love and enjoy 👍

Not sure if the lovely weather this week is partly responsible or the time of year, but I was thinking the same thing this week about the scenery and colours as I came along the Shroppie. Lovely video as ever.

That's a lesson on how to get one's bum wet. Took a 70 footer down. The stern was so close to the sill and the water comes over the gate . Great water fall at the rear of the boat.

Love the K&A we did it last year on hire boat, the moorings at Sydney gardens are lovely and the walk through the park into town is very pleasant indeed. Nice video BTW

now, hearing that you're going to Bath, sorry, but I can't resist. are you going to do the "right nice pint" rating of the Bath water? sorry, sorry, just couldn't resist that one! ah, there is no green so green but that it is in England! loved all the greens in this vid!

So pleased to have found your videos! My husband, son, daughter and I travelled the K&A almost two years ago. Hilperton to Bath - we turned around at Bath as I was a bit nervous of the river (I wasn't popular!). Heading back in October and I have no excuses and we are tackling River at Bath. Are you making any footage of that? Maybe you can stop me worrying 😂 Loved watching this, thank you!

Must be time for a feedback vlog. How are you getting with the compost toilet? How are the solar panels working out? Any technical problems? You mentioned replacing the gulper in passing Washing machine, not ruining your batteries or inverter? 'Cruising the cut' cold washes only although 'Jono' never mentions it. See you have a satellite dish do you use it? Any good? Trad stern, room enough for both of you? Water, fuel, do you have gauges? do feel the tanks are big enough not to be a inconvenience? Any thing else? How can you tell we are considering buying a boat for extended cruising!
@welldeckdiaries56105 жыл бұрын
robert carter So sorry for not replying promptly, sometimes messages don’t appear my end, so her goes, Loving the Compost toilet. Solar during s the summer has provided us with plenty of fully charged batteries No major tech problems We have a 3.5kw engine driven generator (travel Pack) which we run when we want to use the washing machine Satellite dish has never worked Trad stern enough room when cruising or sitting on the taff seats having a brew and the trad stern gives us 6 feet more internal storage which is essential No gauges for water or fuel but we have worked out how many showers and washes we can have before the water tank (450 litres) is nearly empty, the same with diesel 200 litre tank and we use approx 1 litre per hour when engine running. Good luck with buying your boat. Let me know if you get one👍

Well Deck Diaries. From you both selling up bricks n mortar for life on the water has it been hard going? How long was it to adapt/ settle in? If you both could change anything or learnt anything what would you say or advise? So much more to ask but I'd go on forever. We also are considering selling up, down sizing, need to escape the maddening crowds. My good lady n I enjoy yr vlogs, brings me off the ceiling after a **** day at work, thanks guys 👍
@welldeckdiaries56105 жыл бұрын
@@keithlewis9237 Not hard going at all. I think every body will take different lengths of time to adapt but ours honestly was a matter of weeks, the most liberating part was getting rid of the car, we get Tesco shopping delivered to wherever we are ,and plan ahead, and plan well for other things like DIY as you can't jump in the car and shoot down to B&Q if you run out of something half way through. Ive learnt to appreciate a lay in, in the mornings and I truly feel that I am living life rather than being a spectator. With hand on heart the only thing I would change would be applying Owatrol Polytrol to my boat(see paintwork disaster vlog). We originally wanted a cruiser stern reverse layout and fell in love with our trad stern conventional layout, for us the extra storage room we gained by not having a cruiser stern is very import as a livaboard, but each to their own.
