A FAVORITE FOR SURE! My wife and I walked the Kennet and Avon canal path from the center of Bath to The George and back during a week-long visit to the city from the USA. We never imagined I would stumble across this wonderful and evocative footage on KZbin. The George is a wonderful pub with a fine garden for good days.

This has to be the most mesmerising video of England I have ever seen. I love the long boats and the extensive canal system in England so this is a real treat. I’m from the south of England and yet I had no idea of just how many canals there are all over England lol. There are literally miles and miles and more miles of canals lol. It’s amazing how a person (me) can be from such a small place and yet not know about this amazing system of canals that cross cross so much of the country. Yet another reason I’m so proud of the place I come from. Thank you for making this film and for posting it.

Have you seen the slow video of a ship making its way up the coast of, its either Sweden or Norway, I can’t remember which but it’s really long as in 24 hours or a couple of days. It was actually live streamed live in real time. I think there’s a link to it on Tom Scott’s channel. Anyway it’s worth searching for it. Cheers mate

Beautifully put together, but commercial interruptions every 5 minutes is a bit extreme. I counted 21. One at the beginning, middle, and end should suffice. Slow TV is meant to be played in the background. You should not have to keep running back to your tv or phone/tablet to press skip every 5 minutes. Many watch the same Slow TV program daily to unwind before bedtime. The loud commercial interruptions in this video ruin the experience sadly. Remove the ads. You’d get tons more repeat views daily. Just a suggestion. Thank you for sharing this video.

Absolutely wonderful and relaxing. Know this part of the world well my wife's forbears were associated with the land and the canal hereabouts. One thing that does intrigue me on watching this is the number of seemingly derelict boats covered in all manner of detritus that are moored. Do the licencing authority not manage this vagrancy?
@green856w8 ай бұрын
Nice idea. Commentary as whereabouts on the canal the boat is, occasionally, would have helped - or at least some text giving locations and a little background about certain parts the boat is passing would be helpful.
