Good stuff mate, I can personally reccomend you try the plastic bag to apply your thickened epoxy. Mix it all up put it in a thick plastic bag and cut the corner off it and squeeze the bag and it will come out of the corner that you cut. kind of like a cake decorating piping bag. Its so clean and fast it changed my life when I started to do it.

Looking good, can't wait to see you send it!!

Plans mentioned that you are supposed to wire stitch the long edges of the sleds - noticed you didn’t do that - only used fillets. I hope they stay together once they get some stress from the engines.

that's it, bro. sometimes the plans are vague, and it is better to use your own interpretation and let the work flow than to stop and ask a lot of questions. as james wharram says, it is the most suitable design for the craft builder, so keep it simple and throw it in the water.

I think a wee sled will be perfect for the outboard on my Tiki21. Instead of the motor sticking up through the deck, it can come up behind the aft beam. The deck is trashed anyway, so I plan to make a new deck without the complexity of the outboard stuff. Keep ‘em comin’, I’ll be watching👍

Hey man you can also use the back of a spoon to make nice fillets find a suitable spoon that's round in shape and try it out.

Enjoyed the video Mike. Those engine sleds look like good water catchers, are you gonna put some drain holes in there?
@matiki-buildingatiki46cata974 жыл бұрын
thanks, yes they do.
