Experiencing Sly Cooper in 2002 was a life changing moment for 10 year old me. Loved the gameplay, music, graphics and characters. Replayed it dozens of times over the years.

We've arguably have been playing the same game formats ever since 2002, with slight graphics improvements through 2015 or so, and then essentially very very slight improvements, with tons of menu bloat, ever since.

I don't think I've ever seen that Silent Hill 3 E3 trailer. Pretty cool seeing all the little changes they made, especially since the game didnt come out for another 14 months. Also I like how the Mario Sunshine demo is at 30fps, like the final game, but the trailer they show has it running at 60fps. Edit: Wikipedia says that Silent Hill 3 restarted development in September 2002 and spent only 9 months in development until May 2003. Looking at this trailer, I don't really beleive that. This was March of 2002, and while the game looks early, it doesn;t look like they restarted development, or if they did, it was already after this point.

It's a shame E3 ended. It was inevitable. Costs were spiralling out of control. . Be it the organisers charging stupid amounts for floor space , Small indie developers spending $40,000+ for a small booth, or the rumours of millions being charged for stage time, not to mention the millions spent by Microsoft and Sony for their stage setup. Was it 2019 when Microsoft didn't attend instead setting up across the street for a fraction of the cost.

I just had to look up what "Konami Collector's Series: Castlevania & Contra" was. It's just an old pc release with CV 1-3 and Contra and Super C on it. Not sure if they included other regions' versions or if there's any cool upside to playing that port. It's cheap, so I doubt it 😆
