This game really cook when it comes the combat, story and animation the exploration was kind of a downgrade from the pervious entry but overall an amazing game batisim of malic was best music for me in this game the vocie acting is beyond amazing and Personally I like voice for Adol since he's been voicing him for more than a decade now I can't picture anyone else doing the voice especially when Bryce did old man Adol voice

After having bought and played it on PC using an RTX 3090 and a 10900k with 32 GB of DDR4 3200 on an NVMe, I can without a doubt say that the console versions are terribly ugly (PS5 included) and don't perform exceptionally well either. I'm playing at max settings 1440P with PCSS shadows, SGSSAAx4, an asset cache size of 16GB, and absolutely no scaling. I'm getting around 100fps at many locations, 80 at most, and a few that drop to about 70. It's a strikingly beautiful and fluid game if i either lower my SGSSAA or limit my framerate to 80fps on a g-sync ultimate monitor. With that said, there is no way in hell that a ps5 can easily run this at 100fps. You are in LaLa land if you think that. This game even humbles an RTX 4090.....and it's terribly well optimized for PC. I'd say that NIS delivred an ok console experience...but probably made one of the best optimized ports of the decade. (Or rather...PH3 and Durante that is)

I'm in the middle of nightmare new game plus. I think the game is great, but too easy. I played on hard first and accidentally ran into the lvl 99 boss around level 70 and beat it. The revenge mechanic is very powerful if you are even slightly good at parrying. On the island capture levels, you can boost your score through the revenge mechanic so high that the other part seems pointless. I do love the game though. These are just some nitpicks.

I would LOVE a SEGA ages version of Virtua Fighter Classic (or was it Retro?), which would be ripped from Virtua Fighter 4. It was flat shaded polygonal characters from Virtua Fighter 4, but played like the original Virtua Fighter from the arcade with the old music and stages. That would be amazing with online play I’m also with you on (Super) Hang On and would love to see After Burner. Both would be great from SEGA Ages!

I definitely like this more than Ys 9. So little exploration in 9 that it took a large part of the charm away for me. I'd struggle to say I liked this as mich as 8

I wish the series got more attention so it could get a better budget lol. Between 9 and 10 you can see that they're trying to find the right balance of elements they can afford to produce in a timely fashion. Would love for their studio to hire some more engineers to get an even better, polished product.

I still love the xbox, I really liked that in halo, when you did a system link, it would show your xbox's name. I also loved KOTOR. Xbox had some great games.

I'm actually surprised that Ys isn't more popular. I don't think that it's all that different from what the Mana, Tails of, or Star Ocean series try to do, but unfortunately those get mentions in Nintendo Directs, and Ys doesn't... at least not since 8. I appreciate that they tried to recapture the vibe of Ys 8, but there isn't quite a "Sunshine Coastline" moment. Maybe it's because one of the composers has moved on, but Ys 9 didn't have one either and he is in the credits of that game.

Ys Orgins was a great game, I got it one Xbox One X, but sadly that's the only Ys game on the platform.

37:00 For all of you that have not had a chance to play this game and do not want to pay a shop or eBay seller $350 - $700 you can buy one of those cheap clone SNES mini's and about 99% of the time they will have Earthbound on them. You can find them under $30 online all over the place. if it doesn't have the game, alot of the systems that feature an SD card will allow you to copy it via PC. (ofc you should always own the retail copy first) Eyeroll.

The Hel spelling is a nod to Hel in the Norse Mythology. She is basically the goddess of death, it's what Hela in Marvel is loosely based of. I'd say the parts where they spelled it Hell is probably incorrect given the games premise. Either way good review ;D

I hear him making point of telling us that the games cartridges are "Beveled", I know what beveled means (something with a tampered or sloping edge) but can someone explain why this is something that is seen as a positive for a game cart? Does just mean that it's better made or is a easy/quick way to tell if the manufacturers they took extra making the cart's pcb, and didn't "cut any corners" (no pun intended lol), or is it something that actually really matters, like it'll last longer or won't damage your hardware over time?

They need to change adol portrait in future patch its pretty off for how he looks like in X Falcom invest on a new engine which got better hair physics and handle more things on screen from what i know Nordic supposed to be the 2nd game using this engine
