@@Thatguy01984 x plane has vr integration but it's a joke as everything renders on your CPU rather than GPU. So with vr even on a monster computer most settings cant go above medium which is really disappointing. I saw one guy say vr may not be capable in this sim because of 2 reasons. 1. They use azure ai which is a cloud based rendering. Essentially Microsoft loads everything you need in game (local terrain, plane data, ect) and sends it to your computer via cloud. So this could create issues with vr, but who knows, it's a new software. Then 2, this game potentially uses unreal engine which has no vr support at the moment. Here's to hoping though! Despite playing x plane vr at very low settings the immersion is still unmatched.

Another aspect to consider is that FS2004 was popular back in a time when many of the E3 visitors were still babies! They have no clue about the evolution. Yeah I know FSX but I rather it's not worth mentioning.

People need to remember, Flight Simulator used to be the benchmark for what home PC's were capable of and continually raised the bar for decades since the 80's. It's been fifteen years since FSX was released and a little less time since Aces Studios was disbanded. This was a reveal of monumental proportions.

Volo Brace yourself! I'm a former FS2004 simmer and I can tell you this is no game! Real airline pilots used this for training in their private time. You can imagine this takes some effort to just land a small Cessna, let alone the ATC you have to deal with later on. I don't want to discourage you, quite contrary. If your brain is hungry for that then feed it by all means. :D

Archer the game is for everyone, even people with no experience like me. There will be tutorials everywhere and it doesn’t require that much to load into a map and take off and control your plane.

Less than 3 weeks away from release now and I’m totally getting goosebumps watching this. Flight simulator (2002) is what kick started my passion for aviation as a kid which saw me on a path to becoming to commercial pilot. I might fly in the real world but I still get an absolute kick out of flight sims and I’m ready to be blown away by this one.

I watched this at home with some friends and when they showed the hangar i knew what this was. I got really excited and my buddies had no idea why. They were pretty blown away by the visuals but I was just really excited that a new ms flight sim was on the way.
