Greetings from the BIG SKY. I fished Hound creek here and only saw 2 rattlers in 15 years.

I believe it was a flavor line out of St. Louis Mo. They bottled it in Knoxville, TN, Johnson City, TN, and Marion, VA. Had a friend in high school (graduated in 1964) that collected bottles of all kinds and I remember the Mil-Kay Orange, but think there was a lemon too. It's crazy the little thinks that get stuck in one's brain.

Loved the addition of the Schlitter’s this week, of course Kelly saves the day!! All of the cool old things you find around the property you should save to decorate the house down the road!! So many ideas for the reclaimed wood from the shed!!

We will definitely be saving some of it. We plan on using the wood to repair some areas of the barn that need to be replaced. I was thinking that way it will be worn like the rest. 👍

Just an old farmers work shop. Chickens would not have had a wood floor in it. The drawer full of nuts and bolts is a good indication it was a catch all of things they were working on. You have enough block there to use as a foundation for your saw mill and it would make it much easier to keep it level.

You have such a cute family. I enjoy watching all of you working together to make this your home. John you are so fortunate to have such a smart wife. watching several videos and the ideas she comes up with are such a benefit to getting the job done and kudos to you John to listen to her. Next time your in HF pick up some of their magnets on extending rods. they are cheap and come in handy so many times.

It took me a few seconds to catch on to the "Here's Johnny!" joke, but once I caught on, I couldn't stop laughing. haha. Nice. I came across your channel through a youtube search of snatch blocks. It is a great video because it demonstrates through real life experience that there are correct ways and incorrect ways to use pulleys in order to gain the mechanical advantage. I am slowly watching your entire video series now.

I think you're spot on with the chicken guess. What's with the snakes? Gross!!!

That tree the hubby was holding as if it were an umbrella looked to be either a Catalpa (indian cigar tree, seed pods resembles a 16 inch long green bean) but the leaves were too big for it to be that in my opinion or it was a Royal Paulownia, which is a fast growing tree and flowers out with many clusters of pinkish-purple blossoms that will almost make the entire tree that color, the leaves can get to be quite large the older the tree gets. I would have transplanted it to a more suitable spot.

I thought it was just a squash of some kind unfortunately. Since we started living here, we've become much more observant of the plant life around us and have even begun foraging a bit. Spicebush tea, for example, is quite tasty with a bit of honey. Thanks for the comment. I wonder where that thing sprouted up from.

It really sucks getting too old (74) to mow my lawn any more. Doctor says it'll kill me. I ain't ready to die yet, though. I just want my lawn mowed.

I have to admit, I was hoping to see Jon start the fire in this video. Is that for the season finale? P.S. Hi Kelly and Dave!

Okay, so my first video is a year later. Episode 57 snatch blocks, pulleys. You’re building a driveway through the woods, up a very large steep hill. I come to the beginning, and your working roughly 100 feet off a paved road. Now I have a bunch of videos to get through to figure out why you’re making a driveway through some obviously rough terrain when this doesn’t look the same at all.

Keep watching. It will all make sense. The house site is way up the mountain away from civilization. Also, that's no paved road 😂

Thanks for the feedback. This was only our second video. If you're watching through them all, don't worry I got much better at volume levels. 😉
