So identify with the 'struggling with where we are going to be'. We have 3 adult kids who always want to come and see us. We change from 'No particular place to go', which we love, to 'Got to get to xxx by yyy to meet one of the kids'. It's always lovely to see them and they have no idea that they have put us under pressure. I guess it makes us appreciate the rest of the carefree cruising we do.

We hired from Wyvern the first time we went on a Narrowboat. They were fantastic. Took us to the first lock and showed us what to do. They explained everything and are extremely professional. Great to see you up near our moorings

We hired from Leighton Buzzard about 12 years ago. Months before our trip they sent a training manual to us (in Australia). As you say, they gave us hands on coaching starting with a turn around in the winding hole (near the shops) then took us through the first lock. We then got helpful advice from another crew as we went through the locks together. Loved it!

Lovely vlog , it looked a nice pub , loved that sandpit, that's great to keep the kiddies amused . Will have to have a visit sometime . We usually go to the plank & leggit at sawley , then have a walk round the marina after , it seems to make your lunch better for some reason when there's a river or canal nearby .

Hi Guys, just catching up on your vlogs. Hire boat companies, big talking point on twitter, not sure if you are on Twitter. Consensus by all boat owners is that CRT let them get away with causing congestion as they pay alot of money to CRT If you ever go on Llanglolan be prepared to have your boat rammed and hire boaters speeding past whilst moored. This was reported to hire company and CRT and few weeks later no change. Keep up the good work on your vlogs, especially like the beer reviews, I do a few on Twitter

Touch wood, 99% of our experience with hire boats has been positive, had the odd speeder and had a couple of glancing blows when the strong side wind has caught them of guard, but nothing to get to stressed about. Even the stag parties have been courteous. I am on twitter but hardly ever go on FB and KZbin keep me busy enough 👍

Hi Debs and Mark we hired our narrowboat from grand union narrowboats. Months before they sent us website links to crt guides and they accompany you down the canal, we chose Stoke Bruerne direction. Only when they are confident you are ok do they get off and leave you to it. The first locks at Stoke Bruerne, Steve drives down to meet you and shows you how to do the locks. They are brilliant and one day I will hire a narrowboat again. Happy cruising.

@AZ flower Have you tried adjusting the volume slider within KZbin?. If you go to my Face Book Page "Well Deck Diaries" ive posted a pic showing what I mean. I had this problem with a subscriber before and they had their volume turned down low with youtube so no matter how loud they turned their PC volume up they still couldn't hear me. Sorry this is spoiling your enjoyment of our vids 😩
