E34 540i 6speed

A quick video of my 4L V8 5 series the day before I sold it!
1995, 82k miles, with BC Coilovers, stainless exhaust with decat and 3.15 LSD plus other bits.

I love the first part of the video when you start it and that roar, its awesome. This car is awesome. What I like the most are its asthetics. I wouldnt mind owning a 525i or 530i. A 540i would be amazing. An e34 with the s62 would be the thing. Awesome video. It is so inspiring to me. Im waiting for one in good shape comes up and purchase it.

Dave. How did you record the exhaust? In car? Hoping to get into an Aussie E36 540i LE , next Sept , do a Varex , switchable exhaust on it and then do something similar to your vid, cruising up through the hills just out of Melbourne

I had an external mic by the centre of the rear bumper do the video makes it sound much racier than it was inside the cabin. A switchable exhaust would be ideal!

Wayne Langshaw I had the cats flanged when I removed them, and flanged decats put in place so it could be returned for MOT. I never actually put them back in because I managed to get the sound right with the appropriate size silencers. Just go for it, but be prepared to go to the exhaust shop more than once to get it how you want it!

I can't understand why I've never seen this video before! Thought I'd seen every E34 / 540i video on KZbin. I'm in the UK, have owned a few old BMs and I'm now hoping to buy a 540i manual if one becomes available. May I be so crude as to ask how much it sold for?

Im surprised its had over 1000 views! I really did love owning and driving that car, I would highly recommend getting one if a decent one comes up! I bought the car as the prices started to climb, I spent around 2.5k on the car then sold it at break even.

+hotgab328 late but my EDC switch is located right by the shifter and not by the fog light switch. Is this possible for an "m sport?"

+DanielChanlyvong that is where the esc/esp button should be. If it's a uk car then it isn't an m-sport

wait... on a e34 540i 1995 the EDC : suspension assist. is by the fog light and the ASC : Traction control. is by the shifter . the difference is when the ASC is on it cut the power of the car when it feel that it spin.

DanielChanlyvong and if ever feel like you start to have electrical problem change all the open top fuse for conventional fuse. and remember to down load the 30 amp fuse of the blower for a 25amp that may save you from a speed resistor fire.

After watching this video I thought I would google 6 Speed E34 540s for sale in the UK. FIRST car that pops up is this actual car! Listed for sale on the 11th of May 2021. What a strange coincidence.
