I think they build one E46 M3 touring and there's of course the E61 M5...

They built one single e46 m3 touring as a example but was never sold, in recent years they have started back going towards a m touring idea with m340i etc

Jesus… that was some amazing metal work and body work… like cutting out a whole part of a unibody, so that you can put a new rear subframe ..( I thought the M rear end was different.., I know going back to the M3 they have different… Panhard bar?? Something… This series of M5 is my favorite, personally.. a wagon, straight shift… oh man

Swapping out that rear floorpan , Im sure, wasn't cheap not sure why that was done maybe for the M5 Diff and Dual Exhaust. S62 motors are readily available, just check Ebay.

It is perfect apart for just one thing. WHY HAS IT GOT A MODERN TOUCHSCREEN AND THE I-DRIVE??? It's a early 00's car. They still didn't exist. I would have kept as many OEM parts and as much time-originality as possible. This doesn't change the fact that you gave us the most desired and desirable BMW M5 Touring of all the times👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

The easiest way to get more power would be to find a 4.6 x5 engine and swap it in. The 4.6 is good for 350.
