Just wanted to say Thank you. I used your excellent guide over the weekend to remove my bumper due to a faulty parking sensor. Your guide was that good I had the job completed within half an hour. Keep up the good work!

Excellent video, attention to detail, "relevant" detail I might add, unlike other videos. You really have a talent of explaining things really well. Great job, looking forward to other similar videos. Thank you

So glad you did this video I'm about to pull mine off to replace a PDC sensor and touch up my tips. 👍

Nice job on e60. Someone smacked my e60 bumper at work of all places. Will need similar treatment. Unfortunately one of the parking sensors is loose.

I think my rear bumper is missing something in that hole in the back. How many pieces does the hole bring from the space that brings the rear bumper where the black plastic assembly goes? It looks like it was a sports grille or something similar
@E39Source3 жыл бұрын
The E60 M5 rear lower bumper vent does not use a mesh grille.

Great job! I've noticed that your bumper has shade of blue compared to the rest of the body panels. Maybe its just me though...

The rest of the body is really dirty, it'll match much better once it's cleaned up after these rain storms pass.

Has your dad encountered any of the typical E60 issues yet? The 2006 ones were pretty troublesome from what I've read. SMG issues, Vanos solenoid issues (the solenoids cost a fortune now), rod bearing issues, throttle actuator issues, etc.
@E39Source7 жыл бұрын
Throttle actuators, yes. $5k job to have both of them replaced. SMG, rods, and VANOS have been fine so far to 72,000 miles.
@DannyZabolotny7 жыл бұрын
$5k? Yikes. I'm guessing those are dealer prices, because I'm pretty sure the actuators themselves don't cost that much.
@E39Source7 жыл бұрын
Danny Zabolotny Yes, but the Indy was the same cost. The sensors were each over $1,000. He also had the thermostat done at that time, so they added some cost.

Can you do a video about how to swap out you ballast distributor On the e39 Please
@E39Source7 жыл бұрын
The headlight ballast? That is very simple. Watch our video about facelifting the E39 headlights, that shows how to remove and reinstall them.

No lci tail lights in the future?

I looked into briefly a few years ago and it looked like it was going to cost several thousand dollars. Is there any way to do it affordably? Like sub $500? It's not important at all to him to have those, and I don't think he'll have this car much longer anyhow.
@74vette.7 жыл бұрын
E39Source DEPO makes some for about $200 for the e60. Not sure about the quality though.

Yeah I'd rather have old OE lights than fake facelifts.
