This is one my favorite promos too and I think it actually makes perfect sense. The reason why they are falling is because they are dropping new characters in the series (like always but these are all new characters) and we get to see then bare and fresh which is why they're naked but then their personality an themselves start to unfold which why they get clothes as they fall down. And arcades fire explains how they are ready to start the crazy drama and story of their generation of skins

I've heard so many bad opinions about third generation, but I just love it! I won't compare it to the other two generations, every one of them is unique. For some reason, I can relate to third generation's characters more than the previous ones.

​@@callumkent7155Yeah, a gen4 would have been cool with Maude and James Fitch. In gen 2, we still had Effy and Pandora, there were a bunch of easter eggs about gen 1. I actually like gen 3, mostly because of Mini's character development, and Alo. But it hits different because it is a fully new gang, and because (despite they are just 4 years younger than the gen1 characters) it is way more modern, so younger fans probably can relate to them, more than to the earlier gangs.

this is my personal favorite generation (okay second place after the first generation). And it's because of the positive message. Sure, it wasn't finished and still had things left unsaid and the concept was a little bit washed out, but I think we all saw the message: there is hope for everything.

all skins generations are amazing... but this is what i think... first gen. nobody knew what the show was really about so the writers decided to go for the obvious issues kids go through like eating disorders ...drug addicts and etc. it worked cuz skins has amazing writers but . second gen. new characters producers probably were worried if this changing was gonna work so they did a desperate move by creating the least realistic characters of skins history. so third gen came along and they didn't have a problem by making decisions anymore... they created the most realistic characters in my opinion ... like i read somewhere they didn't have to have the need for an issue ... they were just regulars teens that live through the same stuff we all do ...making bad decisions and face the consequences , although i think series 5 was too short 8 episodes and they all had to rush up ... the change was too much for series 6 which i believe the book summer holiday would've been about what happened between series 5 n 6. cuz rich and franky changed too much it was almost unbelievable. so there you go. this is how i see this amazing show!

Frank LTB Skins has always taken things to the extreme, does it have to be realistically believable in order to be good? Now I'm 23 and in university, but when I look back at my late teenage years. Certain people loved to be clichés and such, that's just part of being in that age.

+Luca Lozada I dont think all of the characters in gen 2 were neither unrealistic nor cliché (Frank, to begin with, you dont seem to know what a cliché actually is). Haven't you noticed that none of the generations depicted by the stories are focused on normal/regular thinking people? The series does not represent kids who have perfect lives, which actually exist, but in people who goes through rough shit that normal adolescents aren't supposed or even prepared to live sometimes. Yeah, Cassie may be a little bit of a lunatic, in the most adorable way of course, but in season 7 you see how much she's changed as well, and it's almost unbelievable but she's still herself deep inside. One of my best friend, he's just like Cook, with the anger issues and everything, except by the looks, and he doesn't even know the existance of Skins. Effy's fear for the way love makes you weak has ran through my veins as well, I've done awful things to myself and others and then had to live with it. I've never been or felt normal, and I see a little bit of myself in almost every character from the 3 generations. I understand them and I feel what's like to be on their skin, actually. If you do not feel that, with all due respect, maybe Skins is not the right series for you and perhaps Gossip Girl or that Jersey Shore shit suits you better.

Best trailer, best generation, best finale! Why do people hate this? The characters were perfect, the change from Season 5 to Season 6 was awesome and it made stuff exciting (Franky turned from a cute, shy girl to a hot, badass headfuck; Mini and Alo fell in love... Who would expect that, right?) And for me, it was way more fun to watch than the other generations... :D

Fuck it. Best gen. The friendship of this gang felt more pure and loyal. The reason why people hate this season is because the characters are more mature. It is not a telenovela as generation 1 and 2, there is no too much drama, or infidelities, nor unnecessary sex scenes , or shit. Skins got us used to teenagers with unreal lives and in the generation 3 we see adolescents with more realistic lives. At this point, Skins audience expected the same fantasy of always, so they did not liked gen 3.
