I think I'm going to try and get my Xiegu going for JS8Call mobile work as well. I'm about done with setting up the Yaesu.

Wow. Acoustic version of that song is way better than the original. That's rare.

Indeed.

Great video but could you PLEASE list needed equipment (with model numbers) somewhere in your comments? The audio in your video is very low when you were discussing that part. Thanks!

Here is a link to my Yaesu FT-891 build (Episode 17). All the parts I used are listed in the description: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n2SXd6aPmNxpfLcsi=Qlhuw4sY6mblX5oV The only items not listed in Episode 17 are the Yaesu ATAS-120A Antenna: www.dxengineering.com/parts/ysu-atas-120a?seid=dxese1&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI3ZiguI3ehwMVZx-tBh1TaxynEAQYASABEgIFV_D_BwE And the HP tablet which is an older refurbished machine. I don't have a link for that, but if you're looking for a laptop or tablet for the field, either a Microsoft Surface Go 2 or Go 3 is a good option. Sometimes you can find some decent deals on a refurbished Go 2 / 3 on Newegg: www.newegg.com/ 73.

My mobile HF setup is based on a TruSDX. With any luck I'll post a vid soon......

JS8 is a lot of fun, but the learning curve is a little steep. I'm hoping to get my Xiegu X5105 up and running on digital as well. I have an extra Digirig that I can use. So, we'll see how that goes. I look forward to seeing a video on your mobile HF comms. Its cool to see different kits, and how others are doing things.

I might have missed it in the vid. What type of performance did you get with that setup?
@PartisanCommsGroup3 ай бұрын
I'm still working on that. When I made the video, I was using a refurbished tablet for the first time with JS8, so I spent more time in the field working adjusting settings than transmitting. But, it did receive well, and hope to get back out there soon to fully test it out.
