Excellent review of a chassis I have kept an eye on! I'm stoked! Hope I can get a replacement front axle with servo. If so I'm sold and will hope to kludge four wheel steering!

Glad you like it. To me, this is one of my favorite overall sizes. I think a lot of modern 1/10 cars are way too big.

I'm loving my Ecto 12 and have a few good mod videos out for it 😊 it easily fits in my backpack and I take it with me on the ebike , its a weapon with some steel wheels and better tires

I have a 3d printed S10 Blazer body and the wheelbase is almost dead on for the 12th scale Enduro. I'm in the process of making the interior fit and then to prepping the body.

This type of configuration is what the Tamiya CC02 should have been, instead of whatever goofy vehicle it's currently supposed to be. It even has the same wheelbase as the CC01/2, at 252mm and 265mm!

No offense meant by this: People put a lot of importance in chassis rigidity. I certainly see why that's important for high speeds, I wonder how important it really is for crawling and trail driving. You don't want rubber side rails, obviously, but for most crawling, it's hard to see some flex as a terrible thing.

@@AMPROEngineering i remember it was a pickup version and had a silly huge bumper which i can’t remember if it was on the body or chassis . and the smaller wheels to . the wheels were black but did look fj45 ish . nice little truck ….. so i sold it 🙄😂😂😂👍

I just bought an Ecto 12 body for my CR12. Will it fit with regards to the body post?

Neither of mine have the stock bodies or mounts anylonger but I do not think they will line up.

Nope, the pumpkin is tiny. It fits a WPL c24 chassis. I have a build coming soon.

I have a CR-12 and the Ecto-12. My Ecto has a 1997 Jeep Wrangler Barbie body on it. 1/6 body on a 1/12 chassis. Does that make it a 1/10? They don’t get out much. Where I live, I have to drive 2 or more hours to find rocks. And these aren’t exactly waterproof. So no creek crawling. There’s tons of that around me.

That body is a good call. I have seen a few builds with them. Yeah there isnt all that much for crawling near me either so seems I needed to make due.

Yeah, I think these are a great size also but they just have zero support there’s zero support for any upgrades. It’s hard to find parts. It’s hard to get parts. That’s why nobody buys them and if they do get popular, they try to charge more money for vehicles than they do for the big vehicles so that’s why they don’t get popular.

It's new still and parts are all over the the usual distributors. I think the price point is the issue.
