Physical book fan here, too! I try to borrow both the physical from library and audio from Libby at the same time so when I’m walking my dog, or in the car, I can listen and then pick up where I left off with the physical book… I find that helps me read more books which ultimately makes me happier 😊

Same! I bought a cute little kindle tablet years ago and even subscribed to kindle unlimited for a bit. Needless to say, I’m back to physical books now. Nothing can beat the feeling of cracking open the book and diving nose first into it and huffing the pages (I really love the smell of books, obvi lol), the soft yet rigid feeling of the pages between your fingertips, and the satisfaction of slowly closing the book once you finished the last page. A kind of love and appreciation for books that is lost on most people in the world today. But not us 💜📖👃

Dr. Dray- I’ve always used brown paper bags for Christmas wrap. I dress them up with ink stamps or hand painted Christmas trees and such. I also use cozy Christmas blankets or towels as gift wrapping (double the gift).🎁

hi dr dray i am indian, thandai isn't really a spiced drink in the sense of having spices in it. it is like an almond shake thing with saffron etc in it and during the festival of holi people mix in a little bit of weed leaf paste (fresh not the dry leaves people smoke) to get a mild buzz. I read the suitable boy for my undergrads, it is an allegory for india's colonization and subsequent independence. edit: no one makes thandai from scratch, we get the powder mix and mix it with milk or you get bottled ones. if you have an indian grocery store nearby you might be able to find some there

Hey, Dr Dray! I have the Libby app and I LOVE it. I have access to two different library systems and both can be used through that app. I spend a lot of time cooking or other hands-busy tasks. I love listening to audiobooks during this time. Not every audiobook is read well, but when they are I really enjoy them, because it really helps me fit more books into my life. This allows me to listen in the car, too!

Why do you touch your skin with the container when applying your facial products? Doesn’t that transfer bacteria to the opening of the container? Seems more sanitary to dispense it onto your finger and not touch the tube against your skin. Please advise! ❤️

THANK YOU. I'm jazzed. I have a couple new patches of psoriasis on my face. In the past, I've been able to rely on a few products that is rub into the patch's and the skin would look like there wasn't anything there. Unfortunately, the products I was using have all undergone reformulation so I've been looking for something with ingredients like those in the E45 cream you just discussed. Yay, now I can give this a try. No more hunting.

Lots of great holiday items at Homegoods; thanks for the tour. I haven't had time to go yet. Regarding LMNT, I can only tolerate 1/3 of a packet in the average size glass. Otherwise too salty tasting. I have heard about issues with the natural flavors ingredient of LMNT and there was at least one lawsuit a few years ago. Haven't checked into these details yet but it's starting to be mentioned by several influencers who recommended LMNT in the past.

I just started drinking Dr. Rajani's new ElectroGlo electrolyte powder, very salty. I checked it also has1,000 mg from Chloride and Himalayan Pink salt. He says it helps with hydration 🤷 when I added more water it was drinkable. It made me laugh when you said the chocolate salt drink was like when you gargle with salt 🤣 that is what I thought with this! Hi Dr. D. I received the Abib sleeping mask as a freebie bonus from Stylevana; I really like it also, but I don't use it on the nights I do my Tret. as I thought occlusives over tret., makes it more potent, as sealed in. I have sensitive skin so I have avoided, as well as not using my LRP cicaplast on tret nights, but do you feel the Abib is light enough to not have that effect? Thanks for all the great advice!

Dr. Dray, does E45 cream work on thinning facial skin for post-menopausal women? I've been having thinning skin all over my forehead, temples and around my eyes since 3 years ago, so far nothing is working and it's getting worse now in fall/winter (dry skin with tearing/blood spots)..... :(

Apart from tretinoin (for anti-aging & skin health) many menopausal & post menopausal women also use a tiny amount of vaginal estrogen cream "off-label" on their face & neck, to improve their skin integrity (inc. appearance, thickness, texture & feel). An estrogen vaginal cream such as "Ovestin" (active ingredient estriol) is prescription only in most countries. After discussing your medical history, a GP will prescribe an estrogen vaginal cream to you to relieve menopausal symptoms associated with loss of estrogen, such as skin irritation caused by vaginal dryness. (A doctor may be hesitant to prescribe it to you if you say that you want to use it to improve your facial skin appearance). A pelvic examination is not necessary. Prescription estrogen vaginal cream is very affordable and also much more effective than over-the-counter skincare products aimed at women in their wiser years. Of course you would already know that for healthy skin one needs to follow healthy lifestyle habits... a balanced diet (including omega 3 fatty acids), adequate sleep, no smoking, minimal/no added sugar or alcohol, sun smart habits (including sunscreen 365 days of the year) etc. Also, for more info. check out the KZbin channel "Menopause Taylor"...who I discovered via Dr Dray. Dr Barbie Taylor MD is a retired Obstetrician Gynaecologist with a wealth of experience and up-to-date knowledge regarding menopause. I hope this helps you with your choices. 👱❤️

I have been a "library person" since a toddler, and I am a dinosaur. I swore I would not give up hard books, even after I ran out of space buying them, but when I got grossed out with condition of lib. books- don't ask- I bought my kindle 12 yrs ago and never looked back. I have it in a case that opens like a book so have that sensory feel. I have the paperwhite so no EMR's, no blue light, so you can read in the dark at night and not screw up your circadian. I use "libby" and have a few libraries linked to it, so that I always have a book to start the same day I finish one, as I am someone who reads 4-6 books a month. I take it everywhere- weighs nothing, so if I have a wait somewhere, or see a pretty area with a bench, or I am out on my bicycle, I read. I refuse to read a book on a computer or phone! Maybe if people buried themselves in a book, instead of the phone you see all over, we wouldn't be a society of people with attention spans of a gnat ( yes, 'old person rant here' !) I totally recommend and you can organize it into different collections, have history of everything you have read etc.- I wholeheartedly recommend!
